    I think the plates are real neat but i have made exactly one and it keeps decoupling for no apparent reason and reverting to the default pose instead of the one I made and it is driving me crazy.

    Unsure if you found the answer but you need to apply the portrait to your plate. Right click(or square if console) on portrait and hit apply to plate.
