    New Endwalker dungeon is more of the same cookie-cutter bland dungeon design

    The Endwalker dungeons might as well be the same dungeon with a different skin. It's the same copy-paste pathing and mob placement. Bosses have pretty much no unique flavor either. None of these dungeons offer ANY sort of challenge whatsoever when it comes down to it.

    It's really sad that this seems to be the new norm.

    I don’t know, the mechanic of the last boss is pretty annoying. Spinning around and moving is always irritating as hell.

    Otherwise, yes, it is the same two wall pulls between bosses as the other 90 dungeons.

    Its fine the way it is. I wouldn't mind a hard mode versions of dungeons, but in general the normal content is fine the way its set and its going to keep going this route whether we like it or not as the dungeons have to be designed with the trusts in mind. The clever designs we had in older ARR and HW dungeons wont be coming back.

    They make savage/ex/ultimate fights for a reason.

    Trusts are nothing more than NPCs that can be programmed to do anything needed. It doesn't excuse the hallway designs that we've been slaving out for the several years because people just want brain dead wall to wall pulls with nothing interesting happening in between. This cookie cutter design we have going on with just pure hallways has to stop, or we will start bleeding players. Honestly I've half a mind to honestly quit because I'm sick of the hallway wall to wall pulls. It's not fun it's not engaging it's boring and uninteresting. Savage/Ex and Ultimates are nothing more than long boss fights with no exploration in between. Nothing that makes me feel like I'm on an adventure. For god sakes we're called ADVENTURERS and we barely get the Adventure. Just a freaking hallway with a few mobs here and there. No excitement nothing.

    That trusts should limit dungeon design is a massive problem in itself. If they continue on this path, then they need to make a hard mode version of each and every dungeon that has more to it than the exact same formula. This dungeon design is so incredibly bland and I dread an entire expansion of doing the exact same dungeon with different skins. The level of homogenization is absolutely insane. It's not fine at all IMO and it's worrisome that solo player should have this much of an impact on an MMO.

    But the dungeons have always been glorified hallways. I'm not sure why you think that just started recently. ARR dungeons branched out a bit with some neat stuff and a sense of openess, but overall most of the dungeons were literally a straight path to each boss. They just simplified that design because they didn't want people doing these mass pulls straight to the boss like how we used to do where we'd just have the tank pull and die at the boss wall essentially skipping everything.

    Again there's also the whole trusts thing. There's more to an AI than just simple instructions to give to an NPC. Or have you forgotten how bad the squadron AI was? Like they literally abandoned it because it was so bad lol.

    It doesn't matter when it started. The point is that the dungeon design is bad. It's sad to say, but WoW has a dungeon design that is on a whole different level than FFXIV completely. With the money they're raking in on this game, there is no excuse for the copy-paste dungeons we are getting. They don't even try anymore.

    I don't think it's necessary to excuse this sort of design. We're paying for a product, and we should get our money's worth. These Endwalker dungeons are hot garbage and I can see no reason why anyone would defend them.
