Maybe log off when you know you're going to be away for awhile? Most games idle kick you after 10 minutes. 30 minutes is crazy generous.

I guess because its usually only on during the .0 patch and then gets turned off again. I understand why its not this time around but can't blame people for thinking it would be as usual.

I swear I remember reading that the auto-logout and instances were going away in 6.1

But all I can find is an interview where Yoshi-P says they are going to wait and see how the congestion is at 6.1 and remove them as soon as possible

　ちなみに，混雑が落ち着いたというよりも，皆さんのプレイスタイルが平常時に戻ったという感じです。連日長時間ログインしている状態が落ち着いて，2日に一度くらいのログインになった人や，1回のログイン時間が1時間半になった人など，ログインする人とログアウトする人の回転が生まれ，サーバーの収容人数は増えていないですが，プレイヤーのログインが集中するという時間が減りました。

It was said it was being looked into for 6.1, never promised. The patch notes don't mention it, so it was not removed.

I do believe afk timeouts are going away with 6.11.

This is honestly a non-issue. Theres no real login queues anymore... you get kicked to the login screen...

Just log back into your character, wait what, a minute at most for your login queue, and then boom you're back in the game.

If we still had 45 minute queues like in Endwalker launch, sure. But... I dont see why people are still upset about this. Just log back in.
