Sorry, it doesn't work that way.
I'm pretty sure that we both know that fun cannot be truly defined. It's subjective. That's why there's a ton of pvp ON the forums. Everyone is competing for 'their' fun. I do appreciate you asking that though. I hardly see anyone else openly question this. What is fun Irika? Is it fun to play with friends? It can be. Is it fun to strive against insurmountable odds so someone else can have fun at your expense? One persons fun ends where another's begins. Who is to say one is more important than the other?
As to your other comment of pvp being ran by soloists and exp farmers that depends. Exp farming is fine so long as you actually participate. The issue is there is no active policing of the bad behaviors going on. Soloist is actually preferable for many people. None of my friends are into pvp and I don't generally enjoy the pvp community as they tend to be really toxic.(read some of these threads) That in mind do I matter less because I don't have a squad of murder hobos waiting on discord for me to log in?
As for experiences we vastly differ. I keep to myself these days because of the lack of trust I have for many when it comes to doing things in duty support. Sure. Premades are naturally unfair. I was salty at them once upon of time. Doing things purely solo q causes me more grief than dealing with premades though. Constant suicide on top of objectives, surrendering when a few people deem the game unwinnable, the exclusive "Let them fight" in frontlines, and of course the "I deserve Crystal rank because of my teammates" we had at the beginning of the expansion. I won't even dare speak of pve. PvP? I only do rank. I'm not getting any enjoyment from the other modes with the current setups or any motivation from them in general.
If majority wants to play solo then that's fine. If we're going to continue to have a split over premades maybe we should consider testing duos instead of it being a dead and/or ignored request. I'm just suggesting. I'm not pushing for anything in this thread for the simple fact that I don't play casuals.
Ah well ok, but not even making another paragraph, or just put the other part out of the quote made it extremely confusing... sorry about that then.I'm saying that in reality I don't think they can strictly make it premade vs premade because the pool of actual participants for that is too small. I then elaborated that the drop off in participation for such match making would make it pointless anyway. This is opinion but based on experience.
Not all of the post is directed at you just the first part. That's why I didn't quote you.
I don't think it's a problem. If a premade has to wait for longer queues until a matching one shows up in the queue, then that's on the premade choice to go as a premade. It will not impact solo queuers much, especially if premades remain a minority in queue. I'm literally struggling to find any true problem with that system.
And those of us asking for coming in with prebuilds understand this for ranked. Win trading in casual mode though does absolutely nothing for your rank in ranked mode which is why we are asking more for the casual mode. Or hell, unlock the chat so I can actually type in the chat box. Out of my multiple losses, the fact that we are pretty much unable to chat, even with randoms seems to be where 99% of my losses have come from.People said the same thing with Feast and how awful that turned out
When they introduced team vs team Feast, it end up as wind trading and SE had to kill it right away.
You have to wait until Crystal Conflict population to stabilize so they can gauge on 5 v 5 premade mode
SE learned their lesson with Wolf Den and Feast, they will not repeat it again for Crystal Conflict.
Whether you like it or not, Crystal Conflict is a mode with a little coordination making a lot difference
This is how reason Focus Countdown got removed.
Literally all they have to do is make duos possible for Casual queues. That's LITERALLY it, people who don't care for PvP much will be able to have more fun while playing with a friend and it'll make the queues way better
Duo queue in casual cc would be nice, we had it for feast training anyway. Might be kinda weird with the 5v5 format but I miss being able to queue with other people just to have some fun.
Considering how irrelevant the balance is in Casual, just enable any size groups for it. If people want to play with others of same skill level they can always queue Ranked.
Not disagreeing with the balance notion personally but a 5-stack is extremely dreadful to fight if you aren't a 5-stack yourself. It also would be a massive headache for the matchmaker.
Two-man queue equivalent to Feast Training is a good start to ask for.
Ït would make no sense to add it alone based on premades... however just make a ranked grouped variant of if, that may be open twice per week or something for a few hours primetime and would be a different rank system than current ranked.
Would seem like a better idea to me, if anything that is and would require 4man premades on each side end of story.
Normal Ranked mode would be giving too many advantages if could just buff yourself through it like that... normal ranked is every man/woman for himself in the end.. and this higher you get up the ladder, this more and more competetative players do you get to play with.
They may or should make it so you can lose below max tier system meaning after platinum you can drop down to platinum again and the likes, so in a way you can just keep on farming.
My wife and I have fun in CC. We just queue at the same time. Most of the time we get in the same instance. Sometimes we're on the same team, sometimes we're not. Part of the fun.
