Adventure Plates feedback!

I'm really impressed with it, especially with the capabilities of the portraits. And also by the fact that different backgrounds and add-ons are collectibles in the game, that's a great way to implement new rewards.

Now, personally as a roleplayer, the thing I'd love here is to have the option to omit certain fields in the card that helps little with RPers (i.e. Grand Company rank), but mostly important a bigger textbox to write a character description. Currently the plate uses the same from the search info, but that is really limited with character number.

I wish I could give some feedback. It seems like any changes I make are not saved once I x out. (I'm going through each part and 'confirm'ing and 'saving' where appropriate' but when I want to close out the editor I only see the 'X' in the corner.)

Anyone run into this or am I missing some glaring simple thing to make sure everything stays saved?

Thank you, I'm able to save portraits but the adventure plate is never saving. I'm always going through the 'initial setup' phase if that makes sense. I'd just like to set up a plate and apply a portrait to it but the plate won't save for me.

I'm a pretty big fan.

Best feature they've added since the electric guitar. Could use more poses and maybe props or something, but it's neat rn

in order to apply a Portrait to your adventurer plate, you need to right click the portrait you want to use (or use Square for us PlayStation controller users) and select Apply to Adventurer Plate.

I understand that. It is not the portraits I'm struggling with.

My adventurer plate is not saving. Privacy settings, profile, they do not save. Everytime I open the adventurer plate, it takes me to initial setup.

Personally, I've set the privacy settings on it to "No One" and I'm completely ignoring the feature because I see no meaningful use for it. To me, it seems like a glorifed search info box with a customisable portrait and a handful of backgrounds. It's up there with things like /gpose for me in that it's probably a decent QoL feature for a select group of players - RPers and such - and if they like it, more power to them. That's my two cents on it.

Having a good picture on your plate will now matter for your odds to pick up catgirls in the Quicksands of Balmung.

My biggest issue with it so far is the lack of options for portrait poses. I actually had a bunch of ideas beforehand of emotes/poses I wanted to use for my portraits but the selection of animations we can use is fairly limited. Hopefully this is something they add more to once the feature is out of beta or at least over time.

Otherwise, I quite like it so far and am eager to see how it develops.
