I love the new housing change (Opinion)

1) Houses are a world apart from rooms/apartments, the two are barely comparable when you take into account the creative limitations of room/apartments.

2) They might make YOUR neighbourhood much more alive, but the reality is on a lot of servers a lot of wards will be left either barren due to lack of FCs to take those houses or worse populated by 1-man FCs as people become desperate to have their own house.

3) This already exist and is usually more prominently done by people with personal houses in a lot of cases, for a lot of people the entire game is about hosting these events and such but they don't want to lead an FC.

I've rarely ever heard of FCs having problems securing an FC house if they want one, unless we're talking about the few super overpopulated servers. Saying things like "I honestly preferred when FC housing was the only option" seems like a very purposefully contrarian/baiting thing to put up when there are a ton of people who've been playing the game for many many years, who are huge fans of the whole housing/decoration/garden aspect of the game but have been denied it due to the housing situation, it comes off as just purposefully mean spirited for whatever reason.

I have no idea whether you have access/ownership of a house or FC house yourself or not but this just seems very...I'ma throw stones and laugh at all the people who aren't lucky enough to be in my position? Glad you're pleased with the decision but context and empathy still exist.

They don't have problems when there's a personal purchase moratorium in effect. They do have problems when there isn't one and there's almost nothing available for anyone.

Having the wards split between FC and personal designation will help make certain that FCs aren't facing the same problems outside of new ward additions in the future. Setting 75% of wards to FC is going way overboard, though.

I don't think that was much for debate even with those disappointed, having wards dedicated to FCs particularly in super overpopulated servers is a fair move and what we all expected, the problem as you said, is 75% of those being dedicated to FCs only. On servers like Balmung those will fill up regardless of any ratio, tons of 1-man FCs already waiting in the wings anyway, even if it is a slap to solo players. But on other worlds? We're going to just have lots and lots of empty plots denied to solo players and slowly filled with 1-man FCs. That's what happened already when housing was first FC-only.

But the 'housing crisis' has never really been about legit FCs unable to get a home for their members as some people seem to be inferring.
