    I would give anything to have job design in PvE be anything like the new PvP kits.

    First off, PvP job designers: good job The entire XIV scene seems highly impressed by this stuff.

    No, excellent job, a full selection of unique jobs with unique mechanics and they're all positively dripping with their Final Fantasy identity. Amazing personal Limit Breaks too, which I also would die for in PvE! The Dragoon one makes me especially happy seeing that we've asked it since ARR.

    If you have not seen it yet, I strongly suggest giving it a glance, just reading through these gave me a bigger jolt than anything else new in Endwalker: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/jobguide/pvp/

    I'd be fully willing to trade anything we have locking us down in PvE from having brilliance like that, our role systems is held together by low grade fishing line anyway. I would probably never unsub if we had PvE kits anything like that.

    This is the first time I've been interested in MMO PvP in years, simply because of how inspired these redesigned jobs are. The mode and maps look great too.

    PvE team please just take notes, or befriend the PvP team or ... something.

    Yes same here, I wasnt expecting something like this with the PvP rework. I just used to stick to one main pvp class based on how easier it is to play (mostly ranged classes really) but now that every class feels unique and each one brings SOMETHING different to the table, I'm excited to just try all of my jobs now. Please SE, use this same design for PvE job skills. We arent asking for complex rotations or more buttons, we're only asking that our jobs still feel unique and fun to play that is all.

    I think the praise was more to do with the fact that each job in pvp now has it's own unique abilities and flare to it and not just carbon copies of each other with different animations as it is in pve right now.

    Factually incorrect.

    The only way you could reasonably argue this is if your definition for being a "carbon copy" entails dealing damage, healing, having a tank stance, and having a gauge.

    Comparing Black Mage to Summoner, or Ninja to Monk and saying they're carbon copies of each other is hilariously detached from reality.

    You are correct in that dps suffers less from the homogenization. I was specifically thinking more of tanks and healers when I made that comment. Yes even amongst them there are differences, but not enough to differentiate them as much as they should be.

    Not necessarily the one button combo thing. Lets not get ourselves too crazy. I dont mind it in pvp because of its nature, but we're more so wanting that they take their pvp job design document to apply to better bring more class identity to our current jobs rather than just the homogenization we've been getting over the years.

    But they are still not comparable. They are awesome in PvP context, but not like they would ever translate to PvE in any way.

    Yes that's the whole idea though. Were not saying just straight up copy the PvP skills straight into PvE. That wouldnt make sense for PvE's combat. What were saying is to take inspiration from the reworked pvp job design into pve jobs. Give our classes more of a unique identity rather than stripping away core parts of what made some classes fun to use.
