Article was posted today. It seems to detail on everything: the division among wards/subdivisions, the lottery process, and prerequisites to enter the lottery. This bit seems to be confusing me a bit though.

While we're on the topic of botting, I feel like this system only is going to encourage more people to make alts with the sole purpose of flooding lottery plots to ensure their FC gets it. That way it can be sold off (if they're in the black market side of things) or weighed heavily in favor of said FC (specifically referring to those FCs that have hundreds of members) and the cycle ever continues.

I see nothing here that's going to actually fix a problem outside of hand/wrist issues from camping.

Exactly. And after the one shot, there'll be very little left to lottery. If they MUST lottery, rather than making you just pick one plot, they should just put everyone interested in a big pool and distribute that way.


The lottery isn't a bad idea when there's just a few plots open and it's better than camping (though guess what, bots can still win, and likely will as there can be multiples). It's a ridiculous idea for Materia that will have all the wards open that way. It's better to use landrush for new wards, then use the lottery for resales.

Then you'd have entire servers on every single house plot clogging the lottery system. That's a terrible idea.

What they NEED to do is only allow ONE FC ENTRY per house. Period. Not allow everybody and their brother in the FC to put an entry in.

The system we had, and currently have, were/are also terrible. But this just takes things to a whole new level of bad. Many people, including myself, tried to sound the alarm on this when others were asking for a lottery system. They did not listen. So...here we are. I hate to say (not really) I told you guys so but...I told you so.
