


Agreed. Job flavour is so important, and not just that but all the pvp kits have different playstyles too. It really isn't much to ask for.




GAH, I'm torn. AST was my main healer from SCH (thanks Stormblood) , then Endwalker had me switch to SGE.
At least PVP had me consistently use my WHM.
now they've blown that away, they all look fun in their own way!
I will give credit where credit is due and give SE props for making healers in PvP enticing to play. Now they just need to bring this creativity over to PvE.

I think everyone needs to look through the changes thoroughly. They are *completely* removing spammable heals, making each one a cooldown effect and eliminating infinite stalling.
In short, Healers are now DPS in PvP and thus, get access to all of the design perks.

I read through the skills in the wiki and all I could say was: "Where the hell is this in PvE?"
As controversial and lorebreaking as it may sound, I think Limit Break should be an individual meter for each player in PvE so it isn't hogged by the melee DPS 99% of the time.




The sheer lack of a basic heal is what gets me.
AST has a 2 charge Aspected Benefic that has a 15s recharge time. Sure there's double cast but that's not good enough. I've had moments where I needed to heal someone and couldn't because my "heal" as a healer was on CD.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Love this and want it for pve since healers suck w one button spam


Seraph strike comboing into Cure 3 is such a simple yet satisfying combo.
The limit break on WHM feels incredible too
This PVP ob redesign is like, what 7 unique buttons per class? But they feel so good to use!
