    Remove Crit Rate Buffs replace with Crit Damage

    As a SAM main and being in the same place as WAR without giving benefits for SCH,DRG, and DNC. Why not we just go with increased crit damage instead of crit rate? You removed Kaiten from us, and gave us a guaranteed crit hoping that it will fix the potency loss made it much worse. We won't benefit from crit buffs anymore. How bout changing these buffs to Crit Damage then add every class 1 guaranteed crit GCD? And also, please bring back Kaiten. I would accept the SAM Changes if you didn't remove the Kaiten but removing it feels like SAM isn't worth playing anymore.

    I'm not sure if critical damage is the way to go but the synergy problems are definitely concerning. MCH is another class suffering from crit/dh anti-synergies because of Wildfire and Reassemble.

    This is the only way if they continue with "something has to be 100% crit because we cant adjust potencies over 2 minute period".

    Honestly, as much as I don't really like homogenization, this is probably the best idea. Change crit chance raid buffs into crit damage raid buffs, and give every dps class some kind of auto-crit to align with the 2-minute window.

    Dunno how easy it would be, but they could also try converting any crit chance over 100% into direct damage. There's plenty of other game systems that have mechanics in play like this where excess crit chance equates to extra damage, and to my knowledge FFXIV doesn't follow that trend. Auto-crits and crit chance buffs would actually synergise and I don't think a single person would have a complaint about it. If it turned out to be too OP, there's no reason they couldn't simply reduce potencies after the fact.

    The best solution would be to make direct hit/crit chance buffs increase the damage of automatic (direct) crit attacks and behave normally otherwise.

    This way, no job is favored over others. Making crit buffs increase crit damage only would benefit some jobs way more than others.
