I really like the Split Wards

I've seen a decent amount of people upset about the new ward split between FC and private housing. I honestly understand why they are bummed about it. However, I won't lie I'm really happy for this change for the following reasons:

1) FC housing can house many different people unlike private housing.

2) They make our neighborhood system much more alive since there’s more people in the neighborhood thanks to multiple people sharing a FC house.

3) FC only wards sound really fun. So many possibilities like block parties, FC mixers and more! (I remember doing those things years ago in ARR before Heavensward was out and loved it)

I honestly preferred when FC housing was the only option. I legit believe private homes caused a lot of our housing issues of today such as supply not being able to keep up with demand and the emptiness feeling of most wards.

I know what I wrote will be an unpopular opinion on this site, but I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in since I'm seeing many posts that are the complete opposite.

I'm all for separating the two types of wards and am happy as a peach in pie that FCs I know will have a significant chance at getting a home. The majority of my interaction with housing is RP/social events where having lots of people outside is common and I'm hoping to see more people active in the FC only wards in the future.

However, after seeing Lucky Bancho's newest census and finding out that the number of 1-3 player FCs on my server (Japanese, so kind of unexpected) is off the charts high, I wish they'd had more personal housing districts instead of FC. I'd like a house, though I can take it or leave it, but I really do wish my friends in other FCs are able to get a house for their group rather than the (likely) shell FCs.

I wish they would just fix the system that lets under sized fake FCs buy houses.

The fact you actually genuinely do think that there will be "block parties" when 80% of houses are just dummy fcs used for submarines, abandoned and left to rot there outside of that purpose is pretty comical, there might be 2 or 3 lost people at large fc houses, but there wont be block parties I can tell you that much, neither will there be interactions, nothing will change except the even more limited housing for personal buyers.

I dont blame you to be nostalgic of how it used to be in the past, but we are not at that point anymore, far from it, i think you are delusional to expect any kind of new interactions because of this change.

I’m fine with there being FC and private but to split it 75% to 25% is extremely unfair. I want to have total control of my yard and decor and have save space for myself. Not some room in an FC. The lottery was already going to make it harder to transfer and first time buyers and now only giving 5 wards to private buyers? Why even try? I’ve wanted to move to Ishgard since HW and now the likelihood of that happening is zero. They should have split the wards more evenly.

I’ll never give up my house in Shirogane now. Guess I’ll grab an apartment in Ishgard for storage

Where are you getting this 80% number from? There’s absolutely no way 80% of the current FC houses in the game are abandoned dummy houses….

The LuckyBancho census for my server estimates there are about 2200 FCs. Not all, but many do have an FC. With 75% of the housing being FC only, that's 1080 FC plots. I wouldn't be surprised if nearly every FC that wants a plot will get a plot. In a smarter world, FCs with no house will stick to smalls. They'll probably have little-to-no competition... assuming players are smart enough to put in a ticket on smalls that have few tickets purchased. Leave the mediums and larges for FCs that are looking to relo. They have nothing to lose, so they'll happily put in for a medium or large against many other FCs.

I have FC's all around my private house and I literally only see one of their members like twice a month, and i'm online everyday

With the lottery as currently implemented, the more people who have been in the FC for 30 days, the more opportunities for a FC to obtain a house... ideally, this means larger and more active FCs have a better chance of being chosen in the lottery.
