FC Wards split is legitimately awful

This excuse of "Yes fcs are made to hold more people so it's okay" is absolutely ridiculous, 80% of fc houses are empty, abandoned, left to rot, only there to be used for submarines for the owners to get rich, there wont be "block parties" like some delusional people think, it will stay the same as now, just worse than it was before because personal housing will be even more limited.

Also if you dont care about your house being taken away for no reason, perhaps you just are not a fan of housing, and in that case you should give up your house to someone who actually cares about it, because obviously housing is not your passion, neither do you care about it.

If anything, this is encouraging people to leave their fcs to make dummy fcs to get houses since personal is so limited

Except they will have to have that dummy FC for at least 30 days to even be able to try. Sooo there is that.

and 30 days is that long of a wait compared to how long some people have waited already? meh yeah the 30 days may stop people who dont already have a shell FC from participating in this wave of housing but as others become available so not much of a safety net. especially since "FC" houses were the work around people have for selling houses so im sure there is no shortage of dummy FCs out there.

Yeah, I don't mind the split but having that many houses be just for FC is insane. 4 months is plenty of time for people to create an FC and meet those requirements to get a house in those wards and that's if the bots and RMT hasn't been hard at work preparing to do the same thing. It should have been a clean 50/50 split, FC are no more deserving of anything.

Even more so, I think SE needs to pony up and provide enough for all FC and all players too.
Its shameful tbh.
They tend to go 1/2 way with most things they implement.

I get where folks are coming from, but this is honestly more than usual. Most housing patches they make all the wards 100% FC only.

FCs functionally provide a lot more benefits and house more people, so they really should get priority. That said, the system as a whole is just insufficient. I think people are finally waking up to that, but it's been like this for years so I doubt anything changes.

I think housing wards should have stayed limited to FCs.

Personal housing is, for the most part, quite antisocial and a imo not a very efficient use of server space. Not to mention could be viewed as a central if not *the* central impetus for FFXIV's botting problem. If housing were fairly money-independent and only limited to FCs, we wouldn't really have a real estate market and all the terrors that accompany it.

Maybe I enjoy this game because I don’t have to be social. I love my personal house as my safe space away from people
