FC Wards split is legitimately awful

The fact that FC wards are going to be the majority of the wards available despite knowing that personal housing is higher in demand is a really stupid decision on their part. This is going to make getting a personal house even worse and only encourages people to make their own little skeleton FC's just so they can get a house. Please at least make this 50/50

I think it's kind of fair. I mean FC houses benefit more people usually and everyone can get a room in an FC house. Personal houses are just good for the one person.

There's more stuff you can do with an FC house compared to a personal house. More FCs should be allowed to access said stuff, even if people are just gonna brush it off as 'wah you can buy that stuff easily'.

I can't decorate an FC house when someone else has already done the decorating.

*I* want to decorate.
*I* want the place for *me* to do with what I please. Not what the two house decorators and the leader want to do with it.
Hell, in my FC I don't even know what the leader does with the subs and airships. He sends them off out on ventures and anything that comes from it, hell if I know, because he doesn't say anything. I don't care about that part anyway.

I'd be happier if they kicked EVERYONE out of their private houses, gave us INSTANCED houses, and MASSIVELY REDUCED the neighborhood wards. Since they only added them because of PERSONAL housing demands.

Then maybe they would have the resources to do instanced housing.

Though you sound like a guy in an FC that doesn't have a house.

Personal housing is, for the most part, quite antisocial and a imo not a very efficient use of server space. Not to mention could be viewed as a central if not *the* central impetus for FFXIV's botting problem. If housing were fairly money-independent and only limited to FCs, we wouldn't really have a real estate market and all the terrors that accompany it.

In the realm of how they designed the housing system, I agree with you.
They initially only released housing for FCs. It wasn't until much later that the doors were open to individuals.

I do however think that once they saw the demand for private housing, it should have been made instanced.
Now we're 10 years into it and it is what it is. Maybe in their next mmo. Stay tuned.
