Balacing in this game is crazy

I just don’t understand how balancing in this game is even judged. Beginning of the expansion everyone was going completely out of their mind over reaper and how it was “over powered” or “over tuned” so.. every other job is buffed to the moon and back. Where’s reaper now? Exactly where it was in 6.0. The power creep is real and ridiculous now. Let’s not even mention machinist still being in the gutter. And now, to top it off.. more jobs being given the dreaded auto crit treatment making the list of shunned jobs even longer.

I'm honestly surprised about job balance.
We went from ShB to EW and the rules suddenly changed.

And we still don't know any of the rules.

In previous expansions, it was commonplace for a job to remain silently broken for the entire duration of an expansion before you could jump into the job design roulette again in the hopes of something better. It's incredibly easy for the dev team take a conservative approach, so I'm grateful that they're actually treating this as an iterative process across the expansion for once.

One thing people need to absolutely stop doing is pretending that their main job is 'oh so complex' and 'high skill' compared to other jobs in the hopes of wrangling out dps buffs from the dev team and then turning surprisedpikachu when their job gets simplified instead of buffed. What on earth were you expecting?
