Things you could consolidate:

Shoha -> Shoha II: Upgrade, like PLD Expiacion
Guren -> Senei: Upgrade, keep Guren range but make it cone for wider AOE and obviously potency upgrade
Ikishoten -> Ogi Namikiri: button combo

Also for the love of god, give me back Tenka Gokken's cone AOE, this is as awful as the Overpower change for me.
Honestly, as much as I hate the change on WAR from cone to circle, I hate the SAM change more. Squishy dps need to stand with tank to hit anything in dungeons, and it's a cast.

But it's already been well established that button bloat was not the real issue. Granted, they gave us about 5 separate reasons, and each one of those has been debunked pretty harshly by players at each turn.

At the end of the day, still gonna say the changes overall to SAM is what outraged its playerbase and kaiten is, mainly, the easiest thing to point to as why since a lot of the general adjustments it got were done to 'compensate' getting rid of it... even though every iaijutsu feels significantly weaker now. When I read guaranteed crit, I expected to see a good number each time. But instead it's barely hitting above my gcd combos and that's pathetic.

If folks wanted to play a job who consistently pumps out damage through primarily a steady flow of GCDs, that already existed and it shares gear with SAM.
