If we look at FFXIV's normal content, which are Dungeons/Normal Raids and Trials/Fates/MSQ etc, players already need to only do the bare minimum with very little understanding of anything. Just don't die and press buttons, is the barrier of entry to any of this. Making the jobs easier? doesn't magically offer improved gameplay nor job designs, but it definitely ruins the experience for players who would want the ability to push jobs to their limits not be robbed.

I much rather have a friendly barrier of entry to any Job, which it already is... and grant every Job complexity and nuances to give players the means to showcase skill-expression in the jobs they came to love. Though they seem to go the opposite direction.

I remember watching a video recently of " Xenosys ", where he hammered Square's Ego on not wanting to change their stances. Saving face on not looking bad cause some things that come from the FFXIV community are an improvement, feedback included. Be it how long it took them to fix Living Dead to whatever the heck they done to Samurai recently. To much pride to not admit they done anything wrong in their game from a design point of view. I can see why this opinion was made by Xeno.
