Cause that is what it feels like, kicking the fun out of it.

Players wanting to have less Variance, sure? but honestly if it never was an issue to clear content? it sounds more like a nitpicking problem or an FFLogs/parsing problem. Not innately an FFXIV problem, cause we can clear content with the Damage Variances.

And it's also illogical cause we have jobs with Crit Variances other then Samurai. Not saying they need to suffer the same faith... ijs, it's not consistent to make an argument to support less DPS variance just for the Samurai changes... to fix 0 issues cause we can clear all content with or without DPS variance... when other Jobs still have DPS variances ontop of it.
yeah, i'm maining RDM for now and when i see a difference between getting no crit, no DH, then a crit or a crit/dh it's jarring.
we got 2 finishing moves that combo into each other (feels good aswel) but then i see 30-35k hit with a non crit, which is fine, but then an 50-60k hit when crit DH, this would be an major difference since that's twice, i'm basically missing out on an full finisher with just 2 crit/dh's. (i don't mind as getting that big 60k crit dh is an nice feeling, i have no influence over it, but that was the same back in Stormblood when i got an 200k crit+dh on my midare, just an straight dopamine rush)

i don't see why they don't wait and pool all the changes together for an big reveal, when they finally got their vision ready to go, instead of these bite sized patches that either ruin the job or slightly inconveniences the job (sam vs nin for example)
I get that they then can't have the whole testing of the playerbase, but this is also why i've been saying that FF14 NEEDS an PTS for job balancing, not actual content like WoW does, but just straight up job balancing, you know the boys/girls from the balance would jump on that, they're often better at this than the actual people hired by SE.
