Honestly I've been waiting so long, I started reaching out to my old friend circles outside FFXIV. I've concluded this game's combat is a waste of time at this point, it doesn't respect your time in the slightest. As someone else has said, this game is a glorified chat room. A lot of my friends and static are also quitting for various reasons in how the game is designed, especially raids. This is coming from a group of players who have been tackling savage and ultimate raids for years now. Anyone who enjoys the game - I hope you continue to do so. I don't anymore and neither do the friends I log in for. Unless the devs tell me they made a mistake and are going to focus on improving the entire combat and job system in general, I can't support them. They can't even admit the Samurai changes were a failure and as predicted, have stayed silent so it will die down.
As I mentioned in the JP thread, the only feedback they seem to take is money. A game that can't even muster a one line response to the feedback is insulting when you see a plethora of other issues pass by and are formally addressed in paragraphs upon paragraphs. Not even asking for the changes itself to be reverted immediately - literally a one line response would have been enough. For a sub based game, how the community's issues are treated are a slap in the face. One of the first to use streams to address certain issues and such, now it's just hyping up their content and not much else. The time they use on stream has gradually shifted away from addressing concerns or giving explanations. If this is the result of wanting to be tight lipped about literally everything, well it doesn't work. Anyone with eyes can see the changes are clearly not well received and denying that is just ignorant. Dodging long standing issues for so long and not formally addressing them is just insulting, and you know which issues I am talking about, it's not only Samurai.
