    All these suggestions are great. I've read any and all feedback on the Samurai changes and express my support. Many things they could have done to address their so called action bloat, yet they go with the absolute last thing on everyone's mind.

    This is not the only place where the changes are received negatively. Adding your voice helps. Don't let the feedback die down. If you have not yet posted, now is the time.

    I really hope he’s aware of it. Normally I wouldn’t have any hope of them reverting it back since devs usually ignore the outrage after changes to a class thinking it’s just the usual shtick (unless it is truly massive enough). But with Yoshi-P, I do have some hope.

    I’ve heard that the JP players of Samurai were in the Twitch chat and were literally demanding the one who made the changes list them all and explain why for each one. Although the JP Samurais, from what I’ve heard, can be a little… overzealous.

    Overall, this was a change that no one asked for or needed. It even does less damage over all. I’ve compared my Samurai (fully leveled with some of the highest levels gear) with my Reaper that has decent gear. My Samurai now does A LOT less damage than my Reaper now, even with it having better gear.

    So personally, I cannot play Samurai anymore. It all feels so horrible to play now and the ‘finishers’ feels the same as one another, only with hitting the enemy with a wet noodle. They even reduce the two minute cooldown!

    For numbers sake, both versions of Namakiri would have done over 120k damage if they both crit (which is a wonderful feeling, and since you can only do it once every two minutes it was balanced out). But now? It BARELY reaches only 60k, and even then it’s only half the time at most.

    That’s how big this nerf is. Adding 10 to 20 potency for some of the attacks cannot make up the damage for that…

    My main two classes are paladin and samurai. Formerly, my DPS main was ninja. While I didn't dislike the sweeping changes Shadowbringer made to ninja, and it was generally fun, I wasn't really playing what I was going for, which was a small-arm (sword, basically) based melee DPS specialist. Ninja, while fun, felt like a light mage class. Tons of magic with some melee attacks woven in. Or maybe half and half, I don't know. It was fun, but it wasn't quite my style, you know?

    Then I discovered samurai and fell IN LOVE.

    I still like it, even post changes, but I am sad because while I still like it, I have fallen out of love. Revert these changes, SE.

    I didn't expect to hate this change as much as I do. Literally made a forum account just to contribute to the voices speaking out against it. Removing Kaiten has completely ruined both the feel and flow of the job. Please revert the change as soon as possible. Literally nobody asked for this.

    Please revert the 6.1 SAM changes. Furthermore, I would really like the dev team to carefully reconsider releasing changes that significantly alter the "feel" of a job IN THE MIDDLE OF A TIER. I no longer want to play samurai with these changes, but since it's my fully geared savage job, I am at least stuck on it for another several months while I gear up something else (probably NIN). If the dev team really wanted to make such a big change, they should have waited until 6.2 to allow people the opportunity to decide whether to continue playing the job in savage or not for NEXT TIER. I am now a hostage to a job that I no longer enjoy.

    Im now playing this game for a very long time... since 2014 february and i rarely have something to say.
    I started as a Monk, played it in t9 and ohter stuff until ninja release, then i played Ninja in savage raids and in every other content that was available at that moment.
    THEN! Stormblood and Samurai got released and i knew for myself im going to play it and i will stay on it to the bitter end, raidgroups take me as sam or leave me be.
    Thats what i said all those years, ARR, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, Endwalker and all of my raidgroups that i had, had no problem with it. The fact that i enjoyed my class for that long time motivated me and made me having fun to play/learn Samurai and beeing atleast good in my and others opinion.
    Samurai felt even more great under my fingers in shadowbringers and endwalker made me felt like i had a time and space shattering killing maschine with up and downs, pros and cons. Sometimes it was frustrating because i saw my midares or ogis not crit once in a fight.. beeing a good dps was never only skill based and i knew that, if you add critchance to a game your character becomes a gambling rollercoaster, but i was fine with that completly. The excitement of pressing kaiten and seeing how heavy and satisfying those skills could hit was amazing as hell, it was the best for me, my entire raidgroup cheered for me to make this midares and Ogi go through the roof for them and now?... look what we have here... a flat and bland, grey, colorless, boring treadmill... the excitment is gone, the feeling of having a actual force under your fingers got deleted entirely. I miss kaiten in my rotation, i still press it out of muscle memory and i get confused because nothing happend, then i remember 'ah.. im kaitenless, i forgot' and then i see that bland, flat number of my midare and ogi and i think.. wow.. that feels horrible, theres no impact anymore.
    Playing Samurai now feels like tasting one of gordon ramsays horrible kitchen nightmare dishes that taste awfull and empty, its a straigth line with no up and downs, well... there are still downs because the upper ceiling of that class got flattend to the ground.
    My Suggestion would be to bring back Kaiten but change it, if you want us to autocrit more to make us more consistend... give it to kaiten, i guess a bit potency loss has to be there to balance some stuff out, its necessary but not until the players have to question themself ''why does it feels like nothing?''
    I appreciate the idea of making us more consistent with our rotation and big htis but this feels completly wrong.. it killed my fun playing the game and Samurai in an instant and i honestly was not able to enjoy the new patch that way either... worst patch experience that i felt in FFXIV actually.. and the last time i felt like this was in WoW Wrath of the lichking at the end of the addon where Blizzard destroyed combat rogue completely for me.

    Please Yoshida and the Team adjust it carefully.

    I severely disliked the SAM changes since the moment the changes were announced in the PLL. Having tried the job in 6.1, I can safely say I hate it even more than I expected. Gameplay is significantly more boring than before and our burst abilities feel like they have very little impact with the numerical changes.
    I have seen the math from the Balance Discord and I know that our DPS is about the same when ignoring raid buffs, but this is to be expected when the balance patch was essentially done using a spreadsheet.
    This feels like change for change's sake in the worst possible way. My only hope is that the developers actually listen to the overwhelming backlash regarding this and revert SAM back to 6.08. And this shouldn't take until 6.2, there is no reason for us to be stuck with this gutted version of the job for several months, the changes should be walked back ASAP. Thankfully, this isn't completely unrealistic, as they did bring Hagakure back relatively quickly at the beginning of Shadowbringers. Best case scenario would be for the changes to be reverted in today/tomorrow's hotfix, but that might be a bit too optimistic.
    At any rate, all of this has been really disappointing, as the new content I've tried so far has been really good and having my main job ruined has really messed with my enjoyment. For the time being, I will be rerolling Monk, ironically enough it feels "burstier" than whatever Samurai is right now.

    Ever since the patch notes reading, instead of playing FFXIV, or any game for that matter, I have been posting and reading forums seeking answers. I have no motivation to play the new content. Even though the patch was supposed to be exciting, I can't bring myself to login anymore. I'm happy that others are able to enjoy the game. I'd also like to enjoy the game. I'm hoping we get a response from the developers soon.

    if this hotfix doesnt fix samurai I'll be back again tomorrow and everyday after that. REVERT SAM CHANGES. BRING KAITEN BACK.

    I pretty much stopped playing, the only reason I play will be decorating and helping a static member get his weapon from P4S because they helped me get through the tier and my Katana, but ya why did I get it its meaningless now.

    There is no reason to do content for me. I only play Samurai, and when I don't enjoy Samurai why would I do new Extreme, Raids and any of it on our ruined class? There's zero point. I tried other classes I don't like other roles, I loved Samurai.

    It's actually the one thing that I found that is very " Stress-relieving " and its taken from us... making it very depressing. So I'll just keep posting I guess.
