Keep overpower cone shaped!

Personally, I think Overpower becoming a circle is a good change and shouldn't be this debated on. Also, how do we know the cone range will be longer than the circle AoE coming in 6.1? They've never announced the official range the circular Overpower it at least from when I watched the live letters & checked the patch notes last night. Though I can be incorrect on this and have missed this being mentioned and I'm more than willing to know in which stream and time it's mentioned.

The cone range has always been more than the circle, that information was always in Overpower's tooltip.

When I said the information was unconfirmed I was specifically talking about the future changes. I know the current range is 5-yalms (Pre-6.1). But how are we so certain the radius forward is being changed to be shorter? Are they taking the current radius and then turning it into the overall diameter of the circle?

No, the current range on Overpower is actually 8 yalms, changing it to a circle will reduce the range to 5 yalms in diameter to keep it in line with other circle aoes and technically the range is 0 because it is cast from your character, thus making it shorter. Overpower has 2 different tooltips, one for the diameter of the cone at it's maximum and one for actual range.

It's 5 yalms radius, not diameter. Surface for cone (if top edge is 8 yalms wide) is 32 square yalms (8 squared halved), surface for circle is ~78.5 square yalms.

Edit: yeah, top edge was 16 yalms (8 radius, not diameter), so cone was 64 square yalms.
