    You say that like that's a bad thing.

    1. Doing backwards Overpower pulls effectively requires non-default controls.
    2. Having to reposition every GCD when spamming Overpower into Mythril so you can hit everything is just clunky. If you need to reposition to group up mobs better, you can do that on every other tank with circle AoEs just fine.
    3. Circle has a larger total area.
    4. If you need to pick up stragglers, just use Voke or Tomahawk, though you'll likely have fewer stragglers to begin with because 3.

    This is absolutely a good quality of life change. Just because it wasn't that annoying, and you've learned to live with it, doesn't mean it was good. These threads are just a study on change aversion in humans. In two weeks none of you are going to care about this.
    Let's remove everything that adds flavour, differentiation between jobs, or requires even a modicum of thought/skill to use effectively. Learning to use Overpower effectively was fun because positioning packs at least took some thought, it also allowed WAR to do things that other tanks simply couldn't.

    As an aside, circles having a bigger total area barely matters since most of that area isn't used anyway unless you body-pull. Realistically you have less of an effective area now.

    I fully expect what someone on Reddit suggested to be the actual reason: Trusts are too dumb to use Overpower, so they dumbed it down for the AI. Seems bit suspect otherwise that they just now decided to "fix" it after it'd been fine for 9 years.

    That honestly makes so much sense, makes me a little less bothered by the change. Still a bit sad to see WAR lose a bit of it's flavor, but with that line of thought, it's not intentionally dumbing down a job for the casual playerbase that doesn't wanna put an ounce of effort in. And it sounds like a pretty reasonable assumption.

    Wait what? The squad does this just fine. I have two warriors(sorry they are Marauders) as my tanks for my grand company squad because the gladiators can not pick up aggro for anything. They are worse at using circle aoes, so I don't know what ai they are using now, but dear gods help us if this is the case. They suck at using anything BUT Overpower T_T
