Why do FCs get 75% of the wards?

The FC plot I have 2 bids on currently has 2 others, whereas some plots in other wards are still just sitting at one.. fingers crossed my 100mill investment pays off! It does seem like a few wards of only medium and large would go a long way to meet demand for more expensive plots.

They literally built a system that plays into the wards that are being sold now. If you added to the firmament, you're crafting. You're interested in making pretty things, crafting, continuing the industry of FF. Sorry, wards probably should have went to the people that built the firmament. They're the players likely to care about this type of things, they're the players that add to this type of thing, they're the players that prioritize this type of thing. It's a bit asinine that I have a firmament title, but I'm not going to get a house because some randoms run up and bid on the house I want, despite being the first one, despite being one that put in a lot during the restructuring of the firmament, SPECIFICALLY because I like this type of thing.

I was helping out a friend's FC in looking for plots with low tickets. I know we are expecting a rush tomorrow morning in the last hour of the lottery, but I counted no less than 40 mediums in the FC-only area with 0 bids. And about another 30 or so with 1 bid. There were 16 larges with 1 bid and 23 larges with 2 bids.

I don't know if they are going to run through all the zones again to get this info (I know I won't help a second time). But, I'm very curious to see what the competition is going to be on some of these plots. I totally get the strategy of going for a large if your FC already has a small. But the fact that there were so many mediums with 0 bids still blew my mind. We didn't check smalls, but I checked a few here and there. The vast majority have 0 bids.

SE is added 1,080 FC only plots with this. I don't know how many servers have 1,080 plot-less FCs. It would seem possible that there will be plots leftover in the FC wards. You'd think they'd open it up to the rest of the playerbase.

Larges all have multiple bids on Balmung. Chance of getting a large prob slim. Mediums are pretty high as well. But Smalls, multiple smalls with no bids at all and this is Balmung. The personal side see a decent amount of people running around wards so prob fillled instantly. But FC side might not be.

You can always tell the people who are new and weren't around in 2.1 when ALL HOUSING WAS FOR FC's. The system was made for FC's and will always cater to them. To expect otherwise is foolish

Just because a system was initially planned a certain way, it doesn't mean that the focus / purpose can't change over 8 years. Housing also wasn't supposed to require an active sub to avoid demolition, but here we are.

Honestly, FCs need them more. There’s stuff FCs can only do in their own house that single players can’t. Don’t worry, there will be more wards.



They didn’t take away homes from people with multiple houses and they won’t take them away for this. If that plot goes vacant, it’ll change though.

I’ve been here in this game longer then you and on these forums. This has been the same excuse from botter FCs don’t worry more will open. It’s been almost ten years now.

I think that is the real kicker for people who wanted a house. They spent an entire expansion with Ishgard housing promises and the hope for a house only to have that desire crushed with the FC split. Lets face it a lot of FC's are small and seriously substitute private housing with a workshop and garden. I would seriously hope a lot more wards are coming with the addition of new servers. I personally expected them to add wards to all districts with Ishgard but that didn't happen.

In addition they need to seriously fix apartments and consider the addition of an Instanced housing area given wards are not about to accommodate the number of new people who have been joining the game.

That’s not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is botters and hardcore players who literally make an alt or new account and get multiple properties. On one server in the goblet one person owns an entire ward on Spriggan.

Also let’s not forget the shell FCs where one man will buy up sections and entire wards to make an empty RP ward of a bank or store but again it’s empty
