Why do FCs get 75% of the wards?

Larges all have multiple bids on Balmung. Chance of getting a large prob slim. Mediums are pretty high as well. But Smalls, multiple smalls with no bids at all and this is Balmung. The personal side see a decent amount of people running around wards so prob fillled instantly. But FC side might not be.

Just because a system was initially planned a certain way, it doesn't mean that the focus / purpose can't change over 8 years. Housing also wasn't supposed to require an active sub to avoid demolition, but here we are.

As expected, I lost. I'm a little disappointed, sure, but it was what I was expecting. Thankfully my desired plot chose #3 instead of 0 like I'm hearing about, so it wasn't bugged. Small victories I guess, even though it wasn't mine. I already have a house so it's not like I'm lacking anything at the end of the day. It just would have been nice. Maybe I'll go buy that gold namazu mount or something.

It still might have been apparently if you bid on a house before the hotfix patch your number just wasn't counted in the lottery. At least that is the working theory. Which is why many who bid right after 6.1 dropped lost to number 0

Why is SE allocating basically 75% of the wards to FCs? This makes zero sense to me. Some servers don’t even have enough FCs to fill 18 wards.

I was so excited to transfer to Ishgard but now with only 5 wards for personal combined with transfers having to compete in the lottery as well I basically can kiss that snowy dreamscape goodbye.

I guess apartment it is then. Also? What happens to those of us in wards now designated as FC housing, do we get ejected from our private homes?

I guess one answer might be because FC housing can offer private rooms with house functions to multiple people.
