    what takes so long

    Why does a hot fix that takes 10 seconds to download and another 10 seconds to install take an hour on SE's end?

    I would think the answer was pretty obvious. It takes an hour to reboot servers and make sure everything's running properly.

    maybe it really only takes 30 mins and they round up to an hour to be safe
