They will probably turn out 'FINE' as a base, for whatever look they are going for. It's the support after their release, that I have my doubts about.

Agreed. We need to focus on the issues that are at hand right now, rather than compounding the issue. I'd prefer to get Femhroths finished since Hrothgar as a race are no longer half-baked than get a half-finished piece of crap and watch the Femhroth community then having to wait 3 years for their race to get fixed. Thank you very muchLack of screaming voices is exactly what we DON'T want. Before you ask where those voices are, ask yourself this:
- Do we need them right now, given all that's happening?
- Will you play Female Hrothgar on your main character\extensively?
Hrothgars have been relatively quiet thus far. Because we saw what screaming voices did for Viera, and it did them no favours. Male Viera are out, and while plenty of people are enjoying it, which is great, both genders are still unfinished. As loud as the support for Male Viera has been, their quick addition to the game only saw many more voices added to the ones asking for these races to be finished and for content to be designed for them. You know, like every other head piece that comes in events, or glamour stuff in dungeons that works for everyone but us.
Make no mistake. We want Female Hrothgar as well, especially after the lack of design for them screwed up Bozja's plot. But we have better stuff to shout about. We already know they're coming, so just wait patiently. It's likely going to come out around 7.0 anyway. And if the way the males are being handled is any indication, many more will be disappointed if we make the decision to implement them be hasty.
Especially not by shouting for it. We have shown support enough for them to confirm it's coming.
No need to repeat the mistakes of the past. Please, learn from this community's history for once.
PS: It's been 3 years, not 2.
There is no Screaming, Because we know they are coming.
Mission Accomplished
There is nothing to show because they are in Development. Just like Male Viera we likely wont see or hear about it till the the end of the Expansion and they start to show off and Promote the Next Expansion.
They decided to do 1 at a time instead of Both so they can give them the proper attention.
I personally hope that the extra time being put into the FemHroths will be worth it, and by extension will improve the MaleHroths
What are you talking about?Im seeing a lack of screaming voices for fem hroth now that we have bun boys. We're getting new styles for hair for Viera and hroth but no mention of fem hroth coming at any point in the 6.x series.
Excuse me! I would still like them please!! 2 years later and not a single mention at all!! Not even concept art! At least show us that!! So some love to the minority! Dont forget about us! Its just rude!
Like a month or so ago, we got confirmation that they've settled on 2 out of the 4 designs for them and are figuring out the CC options and how those would look for them. I'm the most hopium person when it comes to Hrothgals, and even I figure they're coming in 7.0 given they're making a graphics update that will up the specs for this game and likely allow for fewer limits to the type of CC they can do.
And as much as I would like MORE art, it's clear that the best thing would be to not do that. We have canon, in game art depicting them and official concept art for the Hrothgar Queen, yet people still don't want to accept these as signs of what they look like. The BEST thing they can do is put in a Fran like NPC who has their body settles and a unique face and just shows up in game without warning so that we know what they're going to look like as a race 100%. Otherwise, people will just throw a complete fit over the art not reflecting what they personally want in hopes that it will force the devs to change their designs.
I think it's going to be along with the graphics update for our characters.
Remember that they're updating the graphics and it will happen over time, so what's the point of releasing them now when you'll have to update them later?
You mean this mural, yes? What are you talking about?

Yes, and the Art of the Queen in the Art Book. Faces may change, the face in this mural is not exactly detailed ... and IDK when they settled on the 2 faces YP referred to in that recent talk. But I'm personally 100% sure they wouldn't bother making this mural, shipping it live in the game and making it cannon if they didn't want people to think it was an accurate depiction of them. If they give people concept art, they're just gonna reject it if it doesn't match what they want. That, or they're gonna wedge a campaign to change it under the assumption that it's early enough in development to do so, which will sour any celebration of it.
Anything less than an animated 3D model, either in game (via some Fran/ Yugiri situation) or in a reveal trailer, will not be enough and will just cause drama/ fighting. Hell, I'm 100% sure that the reason we don't have "Early Hrothgar Male concept art" is because of how, even though Au Ra are the 2nd most popular females in the game, some people still throw poo over them not looking like the concept art. Show us what they look like in game when it's too late for people to feel like they can bully the devs to get w/e they want.
Because people don't understand what concept art is and how the process works.
I remember in an Overwatch presentation they showed a bunch of concepts of Ashe and in one of them she was Latino, and it became a huge outrage thing where people accused Blizzard of being racist saying that Ashe was meant to be black ( she looked Latino to me, not black.. ).
I think I remember even gaming outlets making this claim too with big headlines about how '' Blizzard turned their black character white '' basically...
That's not how it works..............
Just the same here, just because Au Ra looks different in some concept art doesn't mean that they were always intended to look that way and the devs changed them due to alterior motives.
Personally I like them more in the more '' beastial '' concept art they look almost like a Succubus race to me or at least more demonic.
But I think what is going on is that people see concept art they like better and then they make these wild assumptions that it was how they were originally meant to look and that the devs changed them.
The art team don't just draw one iteration and then settle on it they draw a lot of them I am fairly sure that there's significantly more that they simply haven't released to the public.
It was just one other example of an idea they were playing around with it simple as that.
This is where my Mind is with Female Hrothgar. That's not how it works..............

We in fact have NO bearing at all in how they will look, but so far a couple of people think that little art snippet in the "artbook" or that "Mural" is proof of Final Concept.
It is not.
Ive asked this several times in the actual thread....if this is how they were intended to look, then why arnt they finished yet? They should have been finished before Male Viera if those 2 things are Solid Proof in how they will look.
ALSO, they said they have settled on 2 Concepts....so that means once again they will likely look very different then what little 'art' we have seen of them.
Im prepared for the possibility of being wrong, but until proven right or wrong, I dont thing the 2 pieces of art we saw are what they will look like.
It makes no logical sense considering Hrothgar are a Beast Race
Definitely going to be one of 7.0 marketing points. New races never came up during patches cycle and they haven't said anything other than "Please look forward to it in the future" with indicating when so yes as others have said.
