I will begin by saying that i am by no means a Samurai Main, however it is one of my preferred Melee DPS jobs (along with Dragoon).

I am one that really does think that the Feeling of a job is very important! Along with that, me and many other Samurai players do enjoy the quick thinking- and acting of the job and it's rotation, having to manage our Kenki Resource to buff our weaponskills feels very good and satisfying to pull off successfully.

While Button Bloat is an Issue with Samurai, i do not think removing an ability that is so iconic such as Hissatsu: Kaiten is the correct answer to please the players, both old and new alike. As the new players are likely to miss the added impact of the cool animation of winding up before a powerful strike, while the old and experienced players might see this as removing a piece of skill-expression that has always been a staple of the job's core gameplay identity.

Personally i do think that many of the common changes of skill changes do make more sense and will likely please more people. Examples Include: Remove Hissatsu: Senei and increase the potency of Hissatsu: Guren, make Ogi Namikiri replace Ikishoten on the Hotbar once Ikishoten has been used (similar to how Blast Arrow on Bard replaces Apex Arrow once Apex has been used), upgrade Shoha to Shoha II while increasing the potency of Shoha II or simply making Tsubame-Kaeshi Replace the Iaijutsu button on the Hotbar once an Iaijutsu has been successfully landed.

Additionally, i think the skill Third Eye could also potentially be removed due to it's limited effectiveness with the removal of Hissatsu: Seigan and Merciful Eyes, although that is simply an opinion of mine which many might not share

I just want to show my support to the Samurai players out there and share my voice as i do not wish to see Hissatsu: Kaiten be removed for a reason that feels either quite unnessecary or like it is simply removed from a button bloat problem that was caused by the new skills added in the Endwalker Expansion.
