Gunbreaker, dancer, reaper, and sage weapons are now available from coffers that appear after completing the Minstrel's Ballad: Thordan's Reign.
Well, Hrothgar continues to shock and horrify, but at least there's this.
It's only because of ultimate
which means ultimate weapons will be super shiny versions of existing thordan models
Thordan wings are hype af
Considering how alt-hostile this game is it wouldn't surprise me that most accounts can fit within the 8 character limit. While a nice QoL change I very much doubt this was done out of altruism. If they were feeling generous I'd much rather see the scope of fantasias reduced to race and gender changes and everything else moved to the aesthetician.
If I had to guess it smells like there's an issue with how their accounts are set up. Maybe it reserves server resources based on the account character limit and/or it impacted the estimates they needed to make for their hardware expansion plans.
It remains to be seen how attractive the new feature is. As I understand things the six month sub costs the same. Timecards only come in one flavor.
Some people will defend this game until the very end. For the most part I've been one of them over the years. But recent developments have basically shattered my view of the dev team. I've seen it all before in multiple MMOs. I just wish I'd have seen it sooner here I guess.>Play the game since Beta.
>Devellop an attachment to the world, lore and characters.
>Enjoy playing healer and party content
>Put time in, honing the skills somewhat to a decent level
>Dev start to make questionable decisions in terms of game design, simplifying your favourite role so much it becomes a shell of its former sell
>Community cares for the game enough to make complaints heard
Speaking of dumb takes.
Its not even a matter of defending anything. His post was just beyond stupid. We knew trusts would be added to older content eventually, it was just a matter of when. Trying to make that feature about the issues he has with healers is stupid. Some people will defend this game until the very end. For the most part I've been one of them over the years. That's fair. I missed that bit. But even if my point doesn't apply to you, I will stand by it.![]()
The way I see it, leaving would just make the devs vindicated in their approach. If you are dissatisfied with the game and you leave, the people dissatisfied with your game are not a problem anymore, why would you work to please them anyway? They are no longer part of the playerbase. Considering how big FFXIV is and how easy it is to replace the players, I think quitting would do more harm than good. On the other hand I do understand the concept of "voting with your wallet." This isn't a free game after all. Some people will defend this game until the very end.
