Hey, whatever makes DPS players live's easier, right?I really hope the new pvp gets somewhat reasonably populated because it looks really fun and I need me some pvp, but I hate large scale zerg fests like frontlines and feast queues were always like an hour long =(
Healers are actually really popular in JP servers. Either way, this is a dumb take considering everyone knew they would add trusts to older content eventually regardless of whatever your opinion was about certain job roles.
Some people will defend this game until the very end. For the most part I've been one of them over the years. But recent developments have basically shattered my view of the dev team. I've seen it all before in multiple MMOs. I just wish I'd have seen it sooner here I guess.>Play the game since Beta.
>Devellop an attachment to the world, lore and characters.
>Enjoy playing healer and party content
>Put time in, honing the skills somewhat to a decent level
>Dev start to make questionable decisions in terms of game design, simplifying your favourite role so much it becomes a shell of its former sell
>Community cares for the game enough to make complaints heard
Speaking of dumb takes.
Its not even a matter of defending anything. His post was just beyond stupid. We knew trusts would be added to older content eventually, it was just a matter of when. Trying to make that feature about the issues he has with healers is stupid. Some people will defend this game until the very end. For the most part I've been one of them over the years. That's fair. I missed that bit. But even if my point doesn't apply to you, I will stand by it.![]()
Like it or not it still relates to low level progression of roles and how the player base relates to group content. In my eyes it replaces a dissatisfied part of the player base, and to me it looks like an attempt to remove any weight they might have in the game. I will admit my wording was unnecessarily inflamatory, though. The state of hrothgar hairstyles is also getting to me. I am growing really frustrated with the devs as of late.

No, it relates to their shift to focusing more on solo play. I personally don't like trusts, but I tolerate them as long as running with players is still faster/optimal, but their addition of trusts has less to do with job roles and everything to do with them focusing more and more on the story and giving more option for solo players as its not an uncommon complaint for a new player to get annoyed at having to stop their story progression and wait for a queue to run a dungeon.Like it or not it still relates to low level progression of roles and how the player base relates to group content. Indeed, healers in particular being the sore losers in that aspect. I am not sure if you've tried healing with thrusts but I will say its one of the most miserable experiences in this game. Group play with other player already feels very monotonous in terms of actual healing when nobody gets hit or makes mistakes, I can't imagine Trusts being an exhilarating experience when it comes to that, unless they program thrusts to make random mistakes from time to time. No, it relates to their shift to focusing more on solo play. Healing/Support the role that is supposed to thrive in group content, removing the need for the role for low level content feels like another nail on the coffin.
If their focus is on solo play then why does healer still feel like dumpster-fire tier garbage to play solo. If I bought a single-player action RPG and one of the classes was just spamming the same button over and over while every other class had involved and engaging kits, I'd rightfully give a bad review for how shit that would be.No, it relates to their shift to focusing more on solo play.
