


Basically this.I think they should scale based on players participating, instead of how many players participated last time. Like, come on, if your going to copy someone elses work, at least don't make it wilfully inferior just to be different.
But it has been years, so we can surmise that it's "working as intended". Ugh...
Its discouraging when FATEs takes long to complete. I'd rather prefer a more dynamic scaling


I WANT this to be something subtle, like a shading. Red for highly scaled, green for underscaled, but there's people for whom that would be unfair.
I'm not sure how you could fix scaling to be honest. If it was scaled to the curent number, then trolls could just slide in, pump up the number, do nothing and force it to fail. As long as it's based on the last time it's completed, it can't be too far off from sanity.



Perhaps a scaling based on how many players are currently on the map?
Honestly, it's probably not even on their radar. FATEs are just another half assed system at this point.
Would I like them to be awesome? Sure, but I'm not holding my breath.


Thats not how the scaling works. It reads how many players received exp the last few times it was active and scales up or down with the player count. The only ones that don't are the super world boss fates that have special spawn requirements. The only thing thats scales is hp on boss fates, kill count on multi kill or turn in count on turn ins.


Honestly, i'd be happy if participating rewarding scaled past the gold tier. It doesnt need more visible tiers, but when you hit gold tier it doesn't reward more to keep going and if its scaled much higher than current players its not that rewarding to do it.
