When you farm fates, depending on how many people participate, the FATE in the area will scale up to match. If you solo, normal FATE will take 12 monsters to complete and spawn up to four monsters, and boss FATE should take around 2-3 minutes to beat. If there are two or more people clearing a FATE, the next FATE will start scale up in maximum spawn number, how many to kill to complete the FATE, and monster's health.


So, what is the problem? While monster-killing and object-collecting FATE is easy to tell if they are worth or solo or not by looking at their spawn number, defending and boss FATE doesn't give you that luxury until you engage them. Boss FATE gives you no information about their HP unless you use a plugin to see, so chance it will take 10+ minutes to kill a boss solo cuz it is scaled for three people without you knowing it.



I think there should be an indicator to tell players which power-scaling level a FATE is currently at. One star is the starting level that is suitable for solo. Two-star is scaled for 2 people, which is still solo-able to certain extent. 3-star for 4 people, telling you to steer away from it, and so on.
