Thread: Adding my voice to the Kaiten debate

I made an account specifically to throw in my support for keeping Kaiten on SAM. I may not main the job, but the feeling of powering up my iaijutsu is one of the main things that makes me enjoy playing it. I can tell you now that if Kaiten is removed, I will definitely not be playing the job anymore. This is a really dumb change and gets rid of one of Samurai's very few complexities. Simplifying jobs does NOT make them more interesting, it makes them boring. Please keep Kaiten in the game.

Agree with you on not playing the job anymore. I tried doing a kaiten less rotation on a dummy last night and it felt unfun and bad. My decision was made there. I don’t wanna only be a source of negativity though, so I will be maining Monk instead until kaiten is hopefully added back. I do really enjoy this iteration of Monk and will give the job design credit for making Monk have an interesting burst phase that is satisfying to pull off.

I love samurai most of all though so please don’t make a great job worse needlessly!

That's why many people stopped caring for Summoner. Honestly, for all the people that laughed and memed on Summoner "deserving" bad damage for being brain dead now. It was a prelude to brain dead every other job. Ninja is the same to a certain extend. Mug being the new party buff is so you literally cannot mess it up / drift your buff.
