I sent support requests to square. Any idea how long I may have to wait for this to resolve? I asked my fc friends to report in game as well. I can't believe I really believed that a tell sent to me from a random while i was in an inn was something real. Im actually dumbfounded at my own stupidity. I just want my account back.

the random character that scammed me with the tell was Star- Light- from Cactuar in case that helps

The random character that scammed you is almost certainly another player who has had their account compromised as well and is being used to catch others - I wouldn't blame them.

And the cycle most likely continued - the scammer probably used your account to try and scam others.

Rules to live by:
1. Only follow links posted in the server message or in game menus.

2. GMs will never message you in game about give aways, contests or account comprimisation.

3. Always visit the mainpage directly!!!

4. When twitch or youtube. Make sure you are on the official channel. Never ckick links unless they come from a. Host b. Channel mod c. Channel bot. D. Host,mods and bots on these channels wont message you randomly.
