Unable to do anything but move - That command cannot be performed right now

Steps:
Just prior to engaging with Miser's Mistress, I used Sacred Prism and started casting Stoneskin (using a macro with /ac "Stoneskin <me>). The animation started and the magic casting pop up appeared. At almost the same time, the other bard in the party cast the same spell.

Once the pop up casting bar filled up, it did not cast but the casting animation with the circle on the ground continued. The spell pop-up stayed visable at full as well. I was basically stuck "casting" indefinitely. I was unable to cast again or use any abilities via macro or from the action bar. I could not swap gear or change jobs. Movement also did not cancel the effect.

There was nothing I could do but move around. The message "That command cannot be performed right now" was all I got wheneer I tried to do anything. The casting (head slightly bowed and clenched hand to the forehead in concentration for Hyur F) animation was active whenever I stopped but the casting effect on the ground did not return once I had moved once. I could still move freely and I was still showed full connection to the game. I watched the party fight Miser's Mistress for about 5 minutes, trying everything I could think of.

It occured during an instance (Aurum Vale) and I stayed in that position locked until we timed out. When I zoned out into Coerthas it had fixed itself. Happened at about 6:15pm PST.
