    Fun Dancer Rework Idea

I like the flavor of Dancer. The look, feel, and sound design of their abilities and glamours are all great. However, I find the kit a bit lacking. I think it suffers from being a little too proc and cooldown dependent. That's to say, you get a flurry of activity once every 2 minutes, but the rest of the fight is downtime (just building four-feathers) and it can get kinda boring.

I think DNC should be more about tempo. After all, you're supposed to dance to a beat, right? Also, shouldn't a dancer be dancing the whole fight?

Here's my thinking: start with an ability that is the beginning of 2 potential combo paths: one path has lower dmg but gives a buff/dot, and the other has higher dmg. This is very similar to DRG and other melee, but the next part is what makes it dancery. After every weaponskill action, you need to weave in one of the four random dance steps. For every step you get correct, you gain 20 points to your meter.

100 meter can then be spent to weave in a Standard Finish, which does high dmg and buffs you and your dance partner. Every successful Standard Finish gives you a four-feathers stack and once you have 4 four-feathers, you can then use Flourishing Finish, which unlocks a second sub-rotation with a reduced GCD and a weave (like MCH overheat). Technical Finish can simply be a 2 min raid cooldown. This will give you a flurry of activity about once every minute where your downtime is filled with plenty of weaves, but at a consistent tempo.

What do yall think? Does anyone even care or just me lol? Thanks in advance if you read the whole book

I would say weaving an oGCD between each GCD is too much, especially if it is random. Not only would you be looking at your bars more often to get the right proc, you will probably find you will tire out much quicker from concentrating for that length of time.

Also, pretty sure you are vastly underestimating how often your quick GCDs would come up, assume a 2.5 second GCD, you get 20 per, need 100, so 5 GCDs, that is every 12.5 seconds you will use standard finish to then go into a high APM phase, to come back down to do it all again 12.5 seconds later. It is too much.
