Useful FFXIV Smartphone apps

Just thought I would post this for people who want useful FFXIV apps for their smartphones. I only know Android ones but if anyone knows any decent IOS, Windows phone or Blackberry apps please post the name, a quick description and the link + QR code, QR codes can be made on this site http://qrcode.kaywa.com/ Please keep to the small size for them.

CK FFXIV Companion

This app has an upto date crafting database as of 1.22a, it is usually updated within 2 days of a new patch (sometimes the same day) the recipies I have tried are accurate, just search for what you want to make and all possible recipies will be displayed.

It also has a link to news, the forums (from inside the news page) and allows you to perform lodestone lookups on characters.

FFXIV Buddy

Allows you to view news, perform lodestone lookups, also has timers for Guildleves, Anima regeneration and Behest and shows Eorzea time.

FFXIV Server Status

This hasn't been updated since December, so it does not show the new servers, and therfore only has information about the lobby, login and patch servers until it gets an update, including it anyway because it only needs an update to be useful.

Note: For anyone that doesn't know to use QR Codes just download a barcode scanner and scan them like a normal barcode, this makes it easier to go straight to the download.

Note 2: You may get asked if you want to open the link through the browser or Play Store, choose Play Store (I would check "perform this action by default" as well for GPlay links.

Feel free to suggest some Iphone and Blackberry, also you can post Android ones and I will add them to the OP.

I'll never understand why people need (or make) phone apps for a game that requires an internet connection. I could see the argument for PS3 users, but we're not there yet.

Normally I'd understand that, but this game crashes on fullscreen mode unless you use a Windower.

So you don't need to alt-tab, one click to view news when you are out, one click to view the forums, I prefer using my phone to look things up while i'm playing mainly because for some reason playing FFXIV lags my whole laptop (cept FFXIV) so it helps alot.

There are alot of reasons, and PS3 users have less reason to use them becuase they can have a laptop sat next to them, yes we can as well, but chances are that we are playing on the only PC/laptop close, so we have to alt-tab (possibly crash if you play full screen), then type the URL or use bookmark, then search for the item, whereas with a smartphone you just need to open the app, and search, its alot faster (especially because the data can be stored localy if you have a slow internet connection, many reasons my friend many reasons.

FFXIV NEEDS an official app similar to Pocketstation for FFVIII, still need to access with keycode + lets u mini game some stuff so when u go back on ur main system u have lvled up somewhat in those times wasted in the office/at the family reunion/with the girlfriend shopping etc but won't expect it til 2.0, this would pull in A LOT of business from the users of these smartphones as PS3 version will on launch

I would love a mobile authentication app for iOS so I don't have to carry that key around with me everywhere!
