Sometimes it's so infuriating when the streamer doing the Dead Ends for first time and they fricking missed the 2nd world's missile launcher... They really don't care panning the camera huh?
BUT WE WANT TO BE ANGRY!
As someone who's just been introduced to the Soulsborne fandom... I can say people on twitch just love to tell you how you're playing the game they love wrong.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
Don't worry, streamers and the like live off of attention. Also, I doubt any streamer would be surprised that people are garbage thanks to ample first-hand experience. If they wanted to enjoy it, they'd do it alone and on their own time, without any videos. I suppose that doesn't pay the bills though. Just a sacrifice they chose to make.
Your hobby is now your job. Enjoy...
If you're there to watch the streamer, the chat room is pointless distraction. Leave the chat room closed/hidden. Problem solved. The only ones who take the toxic drama seriously are people who feed on toxic drama.I want to preface this by saying I’m not interested in a debate on Twitch or streaming in general. Yet after watching a few a streamers I find it annoying when chat gets (even more) toxic if the person doesn’t “react appropriately” to the story or gush over how FFXIV is the greatest game ever and how it changed their lives. Let people play the game how they want and if you don’t like how they’re playing, find something else to do.
Certainly its true of some streamers but not all. Some are just entertainers doing a job and they don't care about what gets said in their chat rooms beyond the entertainment value it adds to the stream. They've usually got moderators on hand killing anything truly inappropriate in the chat.

That's what happens when emotions become royal edicts.I want to preface this by saying I’m not interested in a debate on Twitch or streaming in general. Sports and porn are just different, people watch sports to watch top athletes play and porn uh well.
People watch porn when sex isn't directly available whether in a relationship or not ( your significant other isn't going to be horny and willing at the same time as you every time you are ).
The argument only really makes sense if we're talking about pro E-sports players, it becomes a lot sketchier when we don't and especially when we talk about story-driven games.
Very few Streamers are actually top players and they're not the biggest ones either.
Quite a lot of Twitch is just drama too and like a reality tv-show with people who have insanely huge egos and have mental breakdowns about everything.
Twitch Streamers themselves on a whole aren't normal people, most of the big ones are adult young teenagers.
They got popular when they were teens and they never grew up because they've lived on Twitch, it's pretty apparent when you compare them to actual adults who weren't kids when they started streaming.
I dunno if I want to name names because people get mad if you say anything about their favorite Streamer, but holy hell.
The toxicity and brain rot that is Twitch is something the Streamers themselves have essentially created and perpetuated.
I watch Twitch too, not very often and only a very limited amount of Streams but I have it on as background noise and in regards to FFXIV I just like to see peoples reactions to it.
I am not insanely attached to them tho it's the same with Youtube too I've stopped watching people entirely because they just started to frustrate me.
I dunno why really, I just enjoy it.
It's like how I can't understand why people get so upset and triggered by sexualized content while I enjoy it, who knows?
You enjoy what you enjoy or don't enjoy what you don't enjoy, there's not always some deep reason behind it.
