What was the point of having Minfilia show up in the Atiascope?

The other day while running the Atiascope to level my NIN, I noticed that while all the other deceased scions/ allies helped in some way (Papalymo's staff explosion, Haurchefant's buffs, Ysayle's ice diamond, etc), Minfilia's crusty ass shows up, walks a few feet, and then disappears. It's like sis just came to say hi for a split second and then dipped lol

It's sort of implied she was the one connecting the pathway that led you to her, seeing as she's at the end of said pathway.

She appears to open a bridge so we can continue. Considering she was always a non-combatant, but was always handling the political side of the story (i.e., building bridges for the Scions), it's a fitting symbolism.

But she did help you out in a big way, she then creates the bridges ahead of you to the next area. If she didn't, you'd be stuck.

You only see her in recognisable form for those few seconds, but in light-orb form she is leading the way through most of that last zone.

One magic plot device is as good as any other, really. This way just let them throw in another cameo from a fallen ally.

That only seems to 'work' when we truly need it, besides, narrative wise the WoL was not alone in that (technically the Scions were beside you), so, with no literal need the crystal would remain dormant. Also, as a Mcguffin Azem's signature spell is specifically for summoning your allies to you, not helping jump across an impassable ditch. Of course the Scions probably could have figured out some other way, but given every moment down there in the Lifestream was potentially harmful to you and your allies due to the excesive amounts of aether exposure, the less time spent dillydallying the better.

Also as TheMightyMollusk pointed out, Minfilia creating the bridge was symbolic of her diplomatic role when she was alive, "building bridges" metaphorically and all that. So it made perfect sense that would be how she would help down there in the Aitiascope.
