There are alot of great guides available by fellow players. If anyone would like to post their guides here I'm sure it will be helpful to new crafters.

This is the guide I used to take blacksmith to 30. I have listed some higher receipes if you going for maximum sp. The () are the rank of the receipe. If you are using blacksmith main hand make sure to load in strength traits and wear strength jewelry.
Blacksmith (4) - Bronze Nuggets -copper ore X3, tin nugget X3, fire shard X3
Blacksmith (8) - Copper Gorge Hooks - copper nugget X2, water shard X3, fire shard X3
Blacksmith (12) - Bronze Fish Hooks - bronze nugget X1, water shard X5, fire shard X2
Blacksmith (14) - Iron Spear Clasp - iron square X1, wind shard X6, earth shard X6
Blacksmith (19) - Bronze Gorgehooks - bronze nugget X2, fire shard X3, water shard X6
Blacksmith (24) - Iron Axe Ferrule - iron square X1, wind shard X6, earth shard X6
Blacksmith (28) - Brass Javelin Head - brass nugget X3, wind shard X4, fire shard X3
Blacksmith (30) - Iron Arrowheads - iron nugget X3, fire shard X6, wind shard X8
Blacksmith (35) - Iron Swallowtail Arrowheads - iron nugget X3, fire shard X6, wind shard X8
Blacksmith (36) - Iron Francisca Head - iron nugget X4, fire shard X6, wind shard X6
I made iron spear clasp at 9 - 16. I made bronze gorge hooks 16 - 18. I made iron axe ferrules 18 - 24. I did brass javelin heads 24 - 28 and iron arrowheads 28 - 30. You can do it other ways but this was a very cheap way to get to 30.

Great guide!
Levels 14-19
Skilling Up
First off, you will want to do all your Local Leves straight-away. Once you are done, you
can start grinding.
The best recipe at this level is the Bronze Fishhook (1x Bronze Nugget). This is perfect
because it requires a lot of Water Shards (which you rarely get to use as a Blacksmith)
and it only requires 1x Bronze Nugget
1-5 Copper Nugget and local leves
6-10 Bronze Nails
11-15 Bronze Doming Hammer Head or Iron Nugget
15-18 Iron Needle
19-22 Iron Crossguard
23-25 Iron Gorge Hook
25-30 Iron Awl
31-35 Iron Round Knife Blade
35-41 Ornamental Iron Hammer Head
42-50 Silver Javelin Head
notes: (my views)
*1-31 SP needed is reduced to to prior patch
*31-50 it's normal
*31-41 4000 nuggets needed
*armor with control and craftsmanship needed
*using master guild forge recommended
*a viable method to obtain wind and fire shards needed
*elemental stats, wind and fire recommended 120 each
*mining highly recommended
*this is what worked for me, and is my opinion.
anyone found a good one like a website or something i try and i can't make anything you guys post at level 15 i have gear and everything for blacksmith.

I thought i offer some information based on my experiences.
I tried all the suggestions in this thread and can strongly recommend:
Iron Needles (15-22) - Only 1 Iron Nugget is needed. Works pretty good.
Brass Javelin Head ( 21-25) - I highly recommend these. You need Brass Nuggets which are bit expensive, but you can get them easily through goldsmithing (required 14 fire shards for 12 Nuggets, though). But the best part is, that they need half the shard similar recipes usually need. So it can be a good money saver.
Some general stuff, which wasn't mentioned yet.
- Master facilities do have a pretty big effect on crafting. I can only strongly recommend using them all the time.
- The scrolls obtained from grand companies helps a lot. They give a nice 50% sp bonus and cost only 200 seals, but last only 10-15.000sp. In other words 30-40min. Each scroll can safe you 15min and a good deal of material costs.
-Makers Muse and Waiting should be used frequently. Makers Muse has quit the impact on your success rate and waiting for your materials to stabilize can make often the difference between succeeding and failing.
By keeping that in mind, recipes of a higher rank can be completed nearly without failing.
I level'd from 17 to 25 in 2 afternoons. So it works fairly well.
is this still relevant? Anybody with a more updated guide?
