Yes. That is literally what brought me here in the first place, not crafting and housing. For some people yes. There's a lot more in the game than just fighting. I understand that there is a crowed of people who only want to have battle content. It's unfortunate that the game doesn't give you what you want, but I have to ask. Do you expect one game to give you that? The only reason I brought up gold saucer and other things is because it really seems like people think there is no point in doing anything unless it facilitates end game big number fluff. I'm really not trying to sound rude, but it seems like people take "try playing other games" as an attack.

i have been playing since 2.0 and i only did savage for less than a month back in stormblood, not my cup of tea.

For some people, yes. :^)
I've savage raided since Gordias and did ults for a bit, and I do dabble in other parts of the game. Fishing, grinding FATEs (I think the bicolor gem shop was a step in the right direction even if the FATEs themselves are not the most engaging) Eureka, and yes, running around housing districts when I'm bored because I like seeing the creativity of players. Does not change the fact it's depressing and empty outside of Limsa, unless you are right at the release of a patch...
And that's beside the OP's post, which is the idea that the average battle content itself is not engaging enough to want to partake in.

I’m not going to embrace playing other games when i’m paying a sub. I have a right to call out a lack of content or decrease in quality of content since yknow…i’m one of the people paying for it. If this was a free game sure, but it’s not, we all pay for it. Jumping around aimlessly can be done in most games. The parkour in housing is engagement for some. Just as fun is subjective, so is engagement.
This is why people should embrace playing multiple games. When you get bored with one, there's another waiting for you. Anything can get boring when you do it repetitively without a break.
I think that's a result of how SE syncs item level in dungeons. They really should scale it back so it's closer to what players would have when the content was originally released (though not all the way to min ilvl).

I certainly think I'm getting my money's worth and no, not just by jumping around on houses. I did that on a whim. My point is that there is a lot more to the game than just fighting. If fighting was all this game had I would have quit a long time ago.I’m not going to embrace playing other games when i’m paying a sub. That's fair, but others did.
This image comes to mind. They don't even try to market the game as hardcore.

Every patch there are literally people complaining that the MSQ is too hard.
People can't seem to:
Complete solo duties.
Play as other characters.
Cope with other players in group content.
Cope with Trusts.
Personally, I've never had many issues with content, in fact, contrary to how active I am, I still have plenty of content to do, but then I don't exactly discard content as non-existent because I don't like it.
I would like to see the relic come around earlier, however. Between 6.2 and 6.3 it's going to look to be an extremely busy time, between relics, deep dungeon, raids, and so forth. I don't really see an issue so much with how much content, but rather than when we actually get said content. They could really do themselves a service by spreading out their releases better, which is the only feedback I have. That being said, I still don't know why they haven't adopted elements of Eureka and Bozja into the open-world zones, as opposed to just running the wheel again on gemstones and the occasional zone boss FATEs.
I don't know why people get so insulted by the "Try other games phrase" - Despite how dismissive it is of complaints, it's still very reasonable feedback. This is a game that accommodates a wide range of players, which depending on your interests can be a good thing or a bad thing. Ultimately it's just very difficult to accommodate a wide audience whilst giving everyone what they want without creating artificial longevity of content. Sometimes the developers just gravitate to a different mindset which doesn't necessarily align with your own.

Which elements, specifically? Some of the elements are absolutely miserable, like the inability to fly and the loss of mettle when you die. The beauty of Bozja is that by being completely optional, it has the freedom to be as hard as they want to make it. You may think you want the open world to be like Bozja, but I guarantee that if it were to be introduced into the open world, it would eventually be nerfed until it bore almost no resemblance to the Bozja that you know and love.
The element of lost actions and logos actions adding an additional layer of complexity for many people, or in many cases slightly shifting, or adding an additional layer of enjoyment as to how they play the classes. Granted this is as much subjective, but aside from this, really just borrowing how alive it feels. I can't see why they couldn't adopt something similar to the bunny fates in the open world zones, in addition to the expansion with Bozja when they decided to add in critical engagements and the 1 versus 1 combat. I feel like this elements just add a nice level of activity that is missing in an otherwise very barren open world. I don't necessarily mean on the same scale of difficulty either, but just more encouraging people to actually go out in the open world.Which elements, specifically? I'm not talking about losing EXP, or anything so drastic. Though personally I would enjoy for flying to be outright removed and then slightly downscaling map size. For me personally it added a nice level of exploration, which is completely forgone when you can just fly your way through the world.

It's always amusing to me that housing is pushed as 'content' when the vast majority of players cannot even access it and likely never will. I say this as someone lucky enough to own a mansion, mind you.
Of course, you don't need to own a house to enter one but I rather suspect a lot of players share my aversion to the creepy player led nightclubs, casinos and brothels that are frequently exposed as being home to groomers. I shudder in disgust at the thought!
