I’d recommend putting it in the general forums tbh. It’ll get much more attention there than it would on these areas sadly.I'm glad people agree with me and are getting fed up. Naturally in a video game, things should get more difficult as the level and story progresses. Howover, like we've all seen here, the game gets easier and easier as you level up. Not an ounce of challenge. Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping. I just hope Square sees this and decides to acknowledge that they've gone a step too far and made a game so easy that it's literally impossible to die or lose on most content. Square will have to decide if they want to keep pandering to those who want to face no difficulty, have no challenge, and are just being content with everything being handed to them, or if they want to appeal to most of us who, when we log into a game, wish to be stimulated, wish to grow, wish to get better, wish to be challenged. If they keep chasing the "casual player money" by making everything braindead easy, they will surely lose money from those of us who will quit out of sheer boredom and like of drive to play. And something tells me, especially seeing these replies, there are more people who share my opinion and sentiments than those who are content with a godmode game that hands everything to them.
Regarding the thread being in the wrong slot, i apologize, I put it in the feedback forum. If it belongs elsewhere, someone who has power can move it where it belongs or can tell me how to. I'm not sure what to do to move it.

Almost everything, with the exceptions of a few key moments is face roll in msq. Mist Dragon is mildly spicy for a dungeon boss for sample but that's about as "bad" as it gets.
Players are not asking for for a Dark Souls difficulty they would like a reason to not be asleep during their roulettes and dungeons. If you say "well there's a hard mode", yes there is 4 duties per 8 months in savage and 2-3 Ex per 4-6 months. So yes there is a hard mode for Trials and 8 man Raids. There's none for 24 man raids and none for dungeons and those make up 95% of the entire content at this point.
There should be more midcore content that borders hardcore, the jump from extreme to savage is massive most of the time (this time it was not that bad) so there is clearly a spot there for something.
There are 0 checks in this game that ask if you know what your doing, you can free style your combo all the way to 90 and even solo duties can be put on very easy. With the amount of content you HAVE to have done by the time you hit 90, the game should be basing on the idea that the player has done hundreds of hours of experience and be a lot more progressive in its difficulty.
Also major fights in story should be tuned to the point it feels like a major fight.
didnt know how to move entire thread so i reposted my stuff on general
Zenos is supossed to be your mirror.I'm just grateful that the mindset present in threads like this, on the forums, don't really reflect what is experienced in-game.
I strongly dislike this idea that because 'you' find the game "too easy" everyone should. Makes me wonder if some view Zenos (and his 'nothing is challenging enough for me' mindset) as a role-model or something.

No, that wasn't what I was claiming. But I am SO not getting involved in this discussion any further.
Content is only relevant challenge wise during the expansion it was released in and then over time due to potency increases, stat modifications, etc the older content loses any challenge it actually had. I saw someone in here say that you can ignore every mechanic in Thordon Normal and not die. That is true but it wasn't true when Heavensward was brand new content.

This is only true to an extent—and it doesn’t really hold up well to relevant content in SB, ShB, or even EW outside of certain Savage raids and Ultimate. There are plenty of other pieces of content that were extremely easy upon release (ex. Void Ark, Lakshmi EX, Susano EX, O1S, O2S, Byakko EX, O6S, Titania EX, Innocence EX, Zodiark EX, Hydaelyn EX, P1S) and continue to be quite faceroll. I mean, the two extremes for EW were done without healers weeks after they dropped…
The challenging ones are kind of few and far between—and even the non-high tier ones that had a semblance of difficulty (Weeping City, Dun Scaith, the Ivalice raids) weren’t hard if one simply did the mechanics. Yet Orbonne gets to go down in history as the singular raid with automatic Echo and boss nerfs because people complained about “difficulty” when they really weren’t that hard.
Heck, there is a solo instance in SB that is infamous for the amount of complaints it got because people just didn’t pay attention. Or went in horribly undergeared and got killed as a result.
Yes, it was faceroll even when HW was relevant. Thordan Normal has always been ridiculously easy, and has always been criticized for it. FFXIV is my first MMO, and I was a very bad player back when I started; and even I was disappointed by Thordan normal. He didn’t feel threatening at all as an expansion’s final boss.I saw someone in here say that you can ignore every mechanic in Thordon Normal and not die. At least they made up for that in Thordan EX.

Yeah I remember an early HW DF that basically messed up every mechanic on Thordan normal and his ult still couldn't kill the tank that was alive and they were able to just solo the rest even when he still had a decent chunk of health left.

There was kind of a reset on what primal difficulty should be in Stormblood, including bringing new designers into the fold.
Like Susano EX doesn't even hold a candle to Ravana EX when they were relevant. The normal trials were okay though, it's still hilarious to me when a tank hits Susano's reflect more than once and they fall out of the arena.
Yeah the story one was easy. It's amazing how much was cut out for normal.
The large skill gap needed between Thordan and Extreme version was that YoshiP kind of used it as an "AS2.5" because a lot of people were having trouble clearing A3S and the i205 weapons helped. To this day it's still the 'hardest' extreme that was ever released when relevant. Was a fun fight for sure.
