I'm just grateful that the mindset present in threads like this, on the forums, don't really reflect what is experienced in-game.

I strongly dislike this idea that because 'you' find the game "too easy" everyone should. Makes me wonder if some view Zenos (and his 'nothing is challenging enough for me' mindset) as a role-model or something.

You are the minority, sorry, not sorry. Most people find the MSQ way too simple and its a common complaint everywhere when this game is brought up.

Maybe on these forums that are predominantly used by players who lean toward the hardcore side, but there are literally millions of players who have never touched these forums, the Balance Discord, and/or your raiding FC that side with her. If she's in the minority, why do so many players take off their clothes when queueing for the Alliance Raid roulette? You can't tell me that they're doing it because they want more of a challenge.

You pointing out that people on the forums/the balance/reddit/etc aren't the majority doesn't make the people who think the game is "too hard" or "perfect" not the minority.

Do you have any proof of this? Because unless these silent players say something, you can’t really use them to back up your argument. The official forums is hardly a place for hardcore players—speaking as someone who has been posting on here since 2016, it’s mostly a mixed bag with some “hardcore”, some “casual”, and some “midcore”. “Literally millions” doesn’t hold much weight either, since the highest reported active user count was a little bit over a million pre-Endwalker. If you’re using the “25 million accounts registered” as data, do keep in mind that that count also counts RMT bots. It’s not accurate for actual players.

I'm saying that the decision maker, SE, has the proof that they themselves have gathered through random surveys that cover the entire population, and they've been making the decisions they've been making. Make of that what you will.

I don't need proof because I'm not the one asking SE to do anything other than what they've already done and are continuing to do. The proof is in the decisions that SE has made based on their surveys.

???? I’m sorry, what is this take?

Zenos is my least favorite character, and I think he should have stayed dead after 4.0—and I think that this game has gotten progressively easier to the point that it’s “Baby’s First MMO”.

Zenos has been held up as a caricature of "hardcore" story-skippers. He doesn't care what is happening, he just wants to skip all of the story beats and wants the biggest possible challenge (i.e. fighting WoL). He's essentially inferred to be a mirror to that kind of player.

This person is claiming that people asking for a harder challenge are looking up to the caricature of Zenos as a role model instead of just people enjoying some level of challenge.

So you're saying that you want normal content to be much easier than it is then since you don't like Zenos. Ok.
