So until you change your tone of your replies to be nice to those who do not agree that this is something that needs to be done (either not liking it or that it's not a big enough problem to warrant dev attention), this is my last reply to the topic. Because I don't want to get replies in the tone that you've been giving to others when I point out counter options.

As to your modified suggestion, it could be an issue of making the options too complicated to code and it boils down to: are there enough people who would benefit from this to warrant the time to implement.

Not a single person has said "I don't like this idea". I would have accepted that, I got was "help" I didn't ask for.
I already addressed that it's a small thing that people won't want dev time spent on because there's more important things like new glasses and umbrellas and earless hrothgar hair to work on. It's in the OP, you can fiind it if you read it.
As for your opinion of my "tone" and it leading to you not wanting to have this discussion regarding my responses to unsolicited "help" [Mind you, I read nearly a decade of help and research on this matter before making the post. Given how small and specific a thing it is, I'm probly the only one pedantic enough to be "the most qualified" to provide an opinion on it] then all I have to say is "Bye Seera". This is a niche "problem" and hardly at that.

It will only allow it to go another 10 years being a janky, useless option because it forces you to do something that you simply CANNOT DO in combat [within any reason].

I had to look up what lock on target even is. Now i remember. I had it on first time i swapped to legacy. It is awful. Turn it off and be happy.

Go to legacy camera, get used to it, stop complaining.

If using a superior method breaks something else then you fix what broke, you don't ignore the superior method.

You just press s and then don't press any attacks until the cast completes. In World of Darkness, the effect goes off after the cast so you need to look away for a bit longer.

I personally use Focus target on the boss and just move my mouse around to run. I tried the legacy mode and I do not like it at all.

But there is something that I noticed, some people dont know how to use the left mouse button to "look around" when your character is facing a different direction.

This is the only thing I know that could be usably ingame atm:
E.g.: boss is casting a full arena "eye" that gives you doom (Yes CT raids PTSD)
your character is turned away, you click and HOLD down left mouse button and turn around to see if the eye is done or not, you can still move forward - whcih is away from the boss as your body faces - if you want, just need to keep pressing that button and press W)
Usually works for me. Though, it is true that when you let it go it can cause you a bit of confusion as any movement sets back your view to "body face" direction with a quick spin.

Added value of this option: Use samurai, draw your sword, click left mouse button, click A and D back and forth repeatedly. enjoy the meme.
