Go to legacy camera, get used to it, stop complaining.

If using a superior method breaks something else then you fix what broke, you don't ignore the superior method.
I wonna address you very specifically now.
You can use target lock ,while in legacy mode, and it does the same thing. Using legacy doesn't change anything. If you had ever tried it, you'd have known that smart aleck.
Target lock, isn't a control scheme, it's a camera control that for SOME reason, forces your control scheme to not adhere to standard or legacy.
Changing to legacy, or standard, does not tell the camera "keep me and this target on screen the best you can".
Fixing this, would have no baring on legacy or standard. You still have to use one or the other. Ergo, you wouldn't be "iGnoRinG tHe sUpeRioR cOnTroL meThoD". You'd be /enhancing/ which ever you found to be better.
