I didnt find the old one bad but hopefully the shortened the distance of the dungeon. I'm just hoping they make the trusts good. The current ai is painfully slow. Faster to clear with duty finder sitting in a 12 min queue as dps.
The smoother the run the better.
They finally pulled the sludge out of the last stretch. It had no real purpose and the sound effect from walking in and out of it was annoying, so good riddance.
I will miss the photocells, actually.
I'll miss branching paths.
I'll miss seeing a novice run the less optimal way just to get trapped in a spider room.
It made the dungeon feel like... a dungeon.
(also this was a 1.0 dungeon)

I was happy with the dungeons as they were, but they look good. It's probably the only opportunity they will get to future-proof them.
They are slow by design. They don't want the community deeming the "meta" to be running dungeons with trusts, and then nobody is queueing at the DF anymore. So they made it pretty much useless to try and wall 2 wall pull with them by making them not use AoEs.
That's the point....They will never make the trusts as good as players because this is still an MMO and they want player groups to always be the better option. The trust AI as they are now are fine.
I've seen newbies run into walls, getting turned over running back to the entrance of the dungeon, running into dead ends. Nothing new to totorak, I hope they make it more palattable.
The splitting paths were the cool parts of totorak, if you're into that though. I can imagine the circles a full sprout group would be doing in current totorak. A more "linear" dungeon is better in everyway.
It certainly looks more atmospheric with the lighting changes.
