"We have no choice but to do it this way" unlike the modders who are actually able make good hair options. Too bad.

Now I wont pretend i know anything about models and stuff, but it seems logical to me that if fans are able to do this in their spare time, the people hired to do this, should be able to do it too.

The whole "its impossible" argument they keep using just seems so wierd, when its clearly possible.

As mods are clientside only they don't have to work within these 'specifications' he's brought up before (I don't think anyone but them knows what those are though) so that could well be true.

What's a bit confusing though is the "the ears and head are integrally molded" bit, we can see the ears are attached to the head model so wouldn't that mean the ears would just stick through a hairstyle layered on top rather than disappear?

Completely throws into the wood chipper the theory or notion that "Because of MV, Viera and Hrothgar are no longer coupled together!" seeing as they gave both Hrothgar and MV the same selection of shared hairstyles, which MV shared/ mirrored with FV. This could imply that "What hair works for BOTH races" may be a constraint on which are picked (We all know Windcaller would look better on Hrothgar males than the 2B style, but I'm sure 2B was high priority for FV ... even if MV likely weren't gonna use it. Plus, we will be getting Female Hrothgar ... BUT they're not in the game yet, so Male Hrothgar just have 2 feminine AF hairstyles in the 2B and Karen for no reason other than Viera have them! Interesting!).

So yeah, I'm assuming any shared hair that Viera get (they seem to get hair first) will become a shared hair for that sex of Hrothgar.

Why are they willing to hide ears for Hrothgar but not Viera? I think it's simply because Viera without ears looks human, whereas you can tell a Hrothgar by looking at his face and body hair at a glance, even if you take off the ears.

Anyway, not exactly sure what people thought was gonna happen. They didn't make unique hair for the far more popular Viera ... them getting shared hair ALWAYS seemed like the only path to me. Ears? I think of cat wigs personally.

Worried how female Hroths are going to look now. They don't appear to be ready to show anything regarding that addition. I will say the hair shown doesn't look very good and far from what I was expecting. They should just add more custom specific styles and stay away from styles that would hide the ears,

See, I just don’t understand why, if the current hrothgar heads are so limiting in how they work, they didn’t allocate any resources to try and rework them. Again, I know they’re busy with a lot of other things in this game, but this isn’t just some small point for hrothgar players, this is a basic thing every other race has that we’ve been asking for for a very long time.

Retrofitting other Hroth's faces hairstyles is totally doable, with some tools that aren't even mods you can easily try every Hroth exclusive hairstyle in every Hrothgar face.

They just don't fit well in some parts because every Hroth's face is uniquely sculpted, but with some quick tweaking you can get them well fitted for every face in so little time... also the head+ears and the hair are sculpted separately by default, so there shouldn't be any troubles making different hairs for Hroth or picking the existing ones and adapting them properly to their heads.

Hair and face are not melted together or anything, they're just lying and making stupid excuses hoping for us to shut up and accept the rubbish they came out with after 3 years waiting and having to pay a fantasia to change between 2 hairstyles, disgusting.

It doesn't sound like any particular style is even the problem but something inherently weird with how they made them.

It almost sounds like he's saying the ears just don't work in combination with anything but their original hairstyles because they're somehow "housed" in the original hair? I don't even know how or if that makes sense but what do I know lol

it's not even true. the ears are attached to the head. there was a visual bug some time ago that made hrothgar bald, and their ears were attached to the head and not the hair, so this excuse is a complete lie
