PvP Rewards New and Old - Why repeat past mistakes?

It's a very frustrating and disappointing thing to see the new reward system with PvP continue to be let down by limited time offerings that will generate FOMO in perpetuity as new players come to this game. In no other place in this entire game is there a system whos core reward structure is designed around the removal of currently achievable glam, titles, achievements, mounts, etc. This fresh new PvP scene they want to create could do without this mistake being repeated at the very minimum.

Even better would be to implement a poetics style system for players to acquire old rewards. It seems like that will be an impossibility going forward if the current structure of limited rewards is to stay. It's not just about the people playing now feeling forced to do PvP, but really it's about the players that will never get the chance. Before replying to this post go browse the rewards that have been removed before you started playing, I'm sure you'll find something you wished you hadn't missed out on.

Edit to address a number of points:

It's correct to say that this is not the only example of things disappearing from player's reach in this game. I would like to think we all know that two wrongs do not make a right. In the same vein there are better ways to make things unique and rare than using scarcity of time to provide incentive and reward. A proper solution is additive and inclusive, not negative. The only exception is with IP that is not their own through crossover events. We have to forgive them for these things being limited, and to their credit they give us ample warning of this beforehand while also making an effort to return events from the past. I don't like it either, but I imagine it is good for Square to do this and they have been fair to keep previous rewards as events return. Garo is a perfect microcosm of this problem, people are excited to see it return and I guarantee you it's because they missed out on something the first time. Being excited for PvP because it has a fun new facelift and being excited because of FOMO are two very different things. The idea that there is a winner and a loser in PvP meaning FOMO is justified is simply short sighted. Using FOMO as an incentive structure to reward participation if the content can not stand on its own is not a good idea. People should be doing PvP because they want to, and we can all enjoy something fun together.
