The cone is clumsy and so are other players.

The circle is so small, bring back the cone. We HAD a circle, people were free to use their Tempest if they WANTED a circle.
This change is awful. This feels so bad.
Yeah the circle is absolutely inferior to the cone we had. The only reason to like it is if you don't know better and run mostly as DRK/GNB or PLD. So now WAR plays exactly the same.
As a paladin/samurai main, I agree. There should be some differences, damn it. I'm with you. Especially since I preferred my samurai cones to homogenized circles. I dunno, it just feels better.
Mate is doesnt just feel better in animation with tenko. It also is better in usage. Tenko is a casting aoe. Why dafuq do you want me to stand near the tank who is being agro by mobs, with potential cleaves and aoe, while i have to cast my circle aoe?
ok i THOUGHT i was fine with this change and was just like "whatever", even did a few dungeons and was mostly unbothered, but after doing mt. gulg for the first time today, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE OVERPOWER BACK INTO A CONE

Overpower is the easiest to use. Those that say it's harder, I honestly don't know what you're doing during a pull.
Every time I am on another tank, my warrior instincts tell me to use my AOE, but they end up hitting nothing sometimes because it doesn't require a target to use.
While not the worst thing to adjust to and simply move an ilm closer to my target, the cone and target requirement of overpower is honestly worlds better when dashing in and needing to hit something. You have your circle AOE combo follow-up, so it's not like you CAN'T hit everything encircling you.
My suggestion would be to change all the other AOEs to cones. Keeping their combo as circles.
If they change overpower to a circle, it's honestly a nerf and yes I think WAR is a little too well kitted and OP right now, but this nerf is in the wrong spot.

Wouldn't be the first time SE caved into demands of "players of a job" to change something unique about them that is good to turn into just the same carbon copy of what every other job in their role has. Like Onslaught being turned into Plunge copy #3 after so long. I thought homogeny was generally throwned upon.Overpower is the easiest to use. I will dearly miss Onslaught with gauge cost from Shadowbringers for two reasons:
- it was different that I used Onslaught when I needed to or within 10s of Inner Release, instead of "use twice during 60s cycle"
- it actually made Lost Bloodrage in Bozja usable. Now it is borderline useless as you can no longer maintain Bloodrage with it since the recharge of Onslaught isn't affected by Bloodrage's cooldown reduction or by Lost Font of Skill, and Blood Rage itself is a 180s CD, hardly worth vs damage banners or Lost Font of Power.
But hey, congrats to those who so badly needed to pull bosses with a gapcloser rather than using Tomahawk. You are still doing it wrong, even after being given the tools, but I hope you are happy with what you got.
Friends who enjoy Warrior would be most displeased by it becoming circle if it does.
Easiest way to utilize Overpower - Body pull or pull with voke > wait for mobs to be behind you > Overpower backwards
It is also fantastic aoe for catching stray mobs pulled by healers applying pre-pull regen.
Was anyone even complaining about this? I know I have been annoyed with gunbreakers floaty feeling aoe before and how it seems more prone to missing mobs on an incline like stairs, but I just got use to how it worked. Is this really too much to ask players to do? Also did drk ever get its aoe changed from a spell so it doesn't have a longer cast time than its weaponskills? That would be the thing they should have been looking into. It may have changed since I have played drk last, but this and unmend were just painful when going from cast speed to skill speed.
This statement made me cringe >.< I hate when tanks do that so much. Holy spirit will always be my favorite pull method I think. It lines up well with other casts if you time it right. It is so satisfying.
