    I would imagine they will stay like they are now since they are moving even more towards instanced content, but I'd be glad to be wrong in this case.

    They are moving towards instanced content for things like dungeons and raids. As for just environment I would see them using either type of elevator. It all depends on how much the Dev team decided to cut up the zones.
