    In Limsa there is an elevator from the Adventurer's Guild to the Chocobo Stables, which can be reached by also walking down some stairs with no loading screen. I had this particular elevator in mind when I brought up the topic.

    Why don't you just do that now? You can use your imagination and wait a bit before clicking on the elevator, and let those of us who don't want to waste our time continue using it whenever we want to.

    You might have misunderstood me. I was saying that it would be nice to either talk to the npc and pay, then have the gate just open, and not have to see a cutscene. As far as the autocharge idea, I meant just having a open gate and as you ran through it would charge you. That may be a little less interactive then people want though. Also, it wouldn't charge you every single time you ran through, it would be a pay then you could ran through as many times as you want until the airship shows up.
    But then where do you select which city you are traveling to? Like the Airship could have that city states banner draped on its sides, and you get on the ship of your choice, though that could be confusing to new players who don't know which flag belongs to who

    Yeah I still don't care for those inner-city teleporters. laziness! I still haven't purchased them though because I know I would then resort to using them(plus I cannot afford them either through seals nor cash.) Do they require anima? I don't even know if they do then good!

    I really hope those are gone in 2.0 if cities get redesigned. Though I wouldn't mind if chocobos could be used in cities... Is there some sort of law(in the lore even) that outlaws chocoboing in the city? Actually scratch that idea then we would have goobues in town - and we saw how that turned out in ulduh...

    Landing in the wrong place, just to have to pay again to go to the right place. LET THE WILD ADVENTURES BEGIN! and the only stories you will be hearing is about wasting their money, and people posting on forums saying fix it. THE SYSTEM IN PLACE IS FINE NOW! jesus everything is an argument on here

    Interesting topic!

    Well since the maximum we have now is 3 floors, why are supposed to have only one elevator?
    How about 2 or 3 next to each other (don't have to be same size as they're now) that move through floors simultaneously. You go to the elevators, you get in the one that is in your floor atm, every 5seconds or so the elevator moves to the next floor. That way maximum wait time is 10 seconds, and there is always one available. No cs or whatever... (I don't really mind what we have now though since I just skip the cs anyways )

    An idea that might work for areas that a player needs to zone into would be to have an NPC inside the elevator (like in the 1920s). That way if you want to go to the airship area you need only talk to them and confirm/deny if you want to go.
