not gonna lie, I created a character on Materia simply for the housing. Made enough gil to buy a mansion in just over a month mostly through treasure hunts and also crafting/farming. Yes, treasure hunts, obviously NOT the terrible lvl90 maps, made a CWLS and we're running 60/70/80 maps several hours every day!! You should try it, it's a lot more fun than trying to undercut bots chilling in inns and running their scriptomancer magicks - and the gil is insane. And I absolutely HATE this no-fun-allowed pedantic LOTTERY system that has NO place in our underpopulated new datacentre. It's so pedantic, that it puts to shame half of this forum's posters. The other half all agree! Absolutely hate SE for this. Give us FCFS Yoshida, or face a barage of kamikadze lalafels that will be thrown in your face!!! They bite and can even hold a knife! Barely, but still.
